UR-Brandeis Battle to Scoreless UAA Draw

WALTHAM, MA- Junior goalkeeper Aubrey Jaicks extended her scoreless streak to 361:29 and earned her third straight shutout helping the University of Rochester women's soccer team to a 0-0 draw against Brandeis University on Saturday afternoon.

The Yellowjackets (5-3-3, 0-0-2) earned their second straight scoreless tie to start the UAA conference season after a 0-0 draw against NYU a week ago.  Brandeis moves to 9-2-1 and 1-0-1 in conference play.

All in all, Jaicks made seven saves on the day, increasing her total to 22 in four games played, her first four appearances ever in a Yellowjacket uniform.

Rochester was led by senior Grace Van der Ven who ended the game with four shots, three on goal and sophomore Katie Grasso who had two shots, both of which were on net.

Judges keeper Michelle Savuto made three saves on the day with the defense supporting her in making two team saves, both coming in the first overtime period stoning Grasso of the game winning goal.

UR held a slim 8-7 edge in corners while Brandeis 17-7 advantage in shots.

The Yellowjackets travel to Chicago and Washington-St. Louis next Friday and Sunday to continue the UAA season.
