PITTSFORD, N.Y. - Rochester had stat leaders throughout the lineup in a tight 3-0 loss to Nazareth College on Wednesday evening in Kidera Gymnasium. The Golden Flyers won, 26-24, 25-21, 25-22.
Emma Gira was the leader in kills with seven.
Alexandra Goldman,
Xiaoyi Li, and
Jennie Ford had four kills apiece. Ford recorded five of the team's 12 service aces. Li,
Meghan Connor, and
Ashley Hunter had two each.
Goldman had five blocks and Gira had three. The dig leader was Connor with 15.
Ashley Hunter and Li recorded eight digs, Ford had six. Li had 18 assists.
The largest spread in the first set was two points - each way. Two service aces by Ford highlighted a 4-0 run that put Rochester in front, 21-19.
Nazareth led for the majority of the second set, including its largest lead of six at 13-7. In set three, consecutive kills by Gira put Rochester ahead, 17-15. Nazareth ran off five straight points to forge back into the lead. The closest Rochester got after that was 24-22 on an ace by Ford.
Rochester is 7-17, Nazareth 16-6.
