Â
Mary Washington (1-1) got the scoring started in the 26th minute when Christine Loehr chipped in a ball from the front of the goal, past UR starting keeper

Â
In the second half, UR got off to a quick start, earning a penalty corner in the third minute after the break. That is when Haigis scored the equalizer, deflecting in a redirected hit from teammate
Olivia Denny, slipping the ball by Mary Washington goalie Jessica Cavolt.
Â
The game winner was then scored by Schlechter in the 61st minute, redirecting a shot from teammate
Samantha Dow. Following the go-ahead goal, UR's defense clamped down and didn't allow a UWM shot the rest of the way.

Â
UR is right back in action on Sunday, facing off with St. Mary's College of Maryland, with the game being played at Mary Washington's Battleground Turf Field at 3 pm.
