After falling 9-2 in the first game of the series, Rochester sent sophomore
Jon Turk to the mound against Trinity University (TX) in search of their second win of second win of the season. The Yellowjackets would fall by a final score of 10-4.

The Tigers picked up right where they left off when Jason Meredith singled to right to drive in a run to quickly put Trinity up 1-0 in the bottom of the first. The Yellowjackets would answer in the top of the 3
rd when
Jake Hertz singled up the middle to drive in
Harper Sy and tie the score at one.

In the bottom of the 4
th, Trinity would regain the lead as Logan Morrison doubled to left center to drive in a pair and give the Tigers a 3-1. The Yellowjackets would cut the lead to one in the top of the 5
th when David Reith lined out to third, but a throwing error allowed Sy to cross home safely.

After a two run single by the Tigers in the bottom half of the 5
th, Meredith launched one over the wall in left for a two run homer to put Trinity up 7-2 in the bottom of the 6
th.

Hertz and Reith would each add an RBI single in the top of the 7
th to cut the Trinity lead down to 7-4. However, a two-run triple and sac-fly in the bottom of the 8
th would make it 10-4.

In the loss, Turk tossed 4.2 innings, allowing 6 hits, 4 earned runs, and punching out 2 Tigers. Hertz finished with 3 hits on 5 at-bats with a pair of RBIs. Reith had a hit and an RBI in 4 at-bats. Sy had two hits, including a double, in four trips to the plate.

Rochester will take on Trinity one more time in the series as the two will face off at 12pm CT in the series finale tomorrow.
