PITTSFORD, NY – Backed by wins in 13 of 16 events contested, the University of Rochester men's swimming and diving team earned a convincing victory in the pool on Friday, defeating Nazareth 191-105 at the Shults Center Pool.
The win moves UR's record to an even 2-2 on the season, with Rochester hosting Alfred and Fredonia in a tri-meet on Saturday at the Speegle-Wilbraham Aquatics Center on the River Campus.
Rochester had five athletes finish Saturday's meet as double-winners, with six others posting one win.

Edward Domanico,
Jose Corredor Alvarez,
David Robinson and
Matt Kiel were the multi-winners for the Yellowjackets.
UR started out the meet strong with a win in the 200 medley relay. The team of Bushnell,
Alexander Cho, Domanico and
Trevor Hoch earned the victory with a time of 1:48.36.
Rochester followed with wins in the next five individual events. Corredor Alvarez earned his first win of the day in the 800 freestyle, touching in 8:45.32. His second win came later in the 400 freestyle after he touched the wall in 4:16.28.
Jeremy Mah followed with a win in the 200 freestyle, posting a time of 2:01.43. Teammate
Bruno Coelho was third just three seconds behind.
Johnny Wu picked up the next Rochester win, earning first place with a time of 1:01.41 in the 100 backstroke.
Nick Brando made it a 1-2 UR finish, ranking as runner-up in 1:02.95.
Cody Yan and
Frank Li posted back-to-back wins in the 100 breaststroke and 200 butterfly for Rochester, making it 6-for-6 in wins to start the meet. Yan's time in his win was 1:11.02, while Li clocked in with a mark of 2:20.13.
Robinson won both diving events for UR, continuing his hot start to the season. The sophomore won the 1-meter event with a score of 300.81 and later captured first place on the 3-meter board with a score of 294.16.
Adam Hopson was runner-up in both events, earning scores of 258.30 and 269.93, respectively.
Following a runner-up finish from Hoch in the 100 freestyle, UR got back to its winning ways in the later stages of the meet.
Bushnell captured first in the 200 backstroke, touching in 2:19.47, just ahead of
Brandon Kim who was second in 2:20.41.
Kiel picked up his first win of the day in the 200 breaststroke (2:31.94) and later followed that up with a 200 IM victory (2:18.16).
Domanico's individual win came in the 100 butterfly in 1:00.40.
To finish the meet, UR's 200 freestyle relay squad of Wu, Berkhof, Mah and Li ended as runner-up in 1:39.86.
