PITTSFORD, NY – Rochester grabbed its first win of the women's soccer season by posting a 3-0 victory at Nazareth College on Monday afternoon. The Yellowjackets are 1-1. Nazareth is 0-2-1. The Golden Flyers opened their year with a 1-1 tie against SUNY Brockport and a 3-1 loss to Cortland State. Rochester lost its opener, 3-1, to SUNY Geneseo last Wednesday.

Senior goalkeeper
Emma Schechter made six saves to get her 11th career shutout. Nazareth's Anna Monfort started in goal. She made one save and allowed all three goals in 56:02 of playing time. She was replaced by Gabrielle Pighetti who made one save in 33:58.

Rochester's offense was economical. The Yellowjackets fired seven shots at the Golden Flyers' net with five of them on goal. Nazareth took 11 shots. Six were on goal.
