WALTHAM, Mass. – Rochester posted a pair of pro-set victories over Brandeis University in singles matches on Saturday afternoon in New England. The Judges won the team match, 7-2. Brandeis is ranked #9 in the current Division III poll conducted by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. The Judges are 7-3. Rochester, which was playing its first team match since March 2 due to spring break, is 2-4 overall.

Kai Yuminaga and
Adrian Zhang posted the singles wins for UR. Zhang defeated Hunter Levine, 8-5, at #5 singles (with Brandeis ahead, 6-0, on the team score). Yuminaga claimed UR's final team point at #4 singles with an 8-7 (7-2) victory over Colt Tegtmeier.

In the other singles matches,
Pasquale Procaccino lost, 6-2, 6-2, to Adam Tzeng at #1 singles. Jeff Chen of Brandeis defeated UR's
Runjia Fang, 6-2, 6-2, at #2 singles.
Krish Vennam lost a tough 7-5, 6-1 decision to Dylan Waters of Brandeis at #3. Aaron Basye of Brandeis defeated
Kenneth Lee, 8-5, in a pro set at #6 singles. The match clincher in singles was the battle of #1s with Tzeng defeating Procaccino.

In the doubles matches that started the event, Cheng and Zheng, ranked #15 nationally and#4 regionally, defeated Procaccino and Vennam, 8-4 at #1. Levine and Walters downed Fang and Yuminaga, 8-4, at #2. Aryan Nijhawan and Tegtmeier paired at #3 doubles for an 8-1 win over Lee and Zhang at #3.
