PITTSFORD – Rochester's
Peter Brodnik ran the second-fasted time in school history in the trials of the 60 meter hurdles on Friday. That race came as a qualifier at the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Championships being conducted at Nazareth College. There are 48 men's institutions and 46 women's institutions competing to produce results for consideration to the NCAA Division III track & field championships next week.

Brodnik was timed in :08.51. He finished eighth overall and qualified to run in the finals on Saturday at Nazareth.
Mitch Lienert ran a :07.18 in the qualifier for the 60 meter dash. He wound up in 20
th place. In the shot put,
Ryan Swavely was 20
th overall and
James O'Neill finished 21
st overall. Swavely's distance was 12.73 m. (41' 9 ¼"). O'Neill was close behind at 12.63 m. (41' 5 ¼"). The majority of finals will be conducted Saturday.
