University of Rochester baseball will kick off its season in Kannapolis, NC on February 24-25 at the D3 Showcase. On Friday the 24th, the 'Jackets face Christopher Newport at 9:30 a.m. and Marietta at 4:30 p.m., followed by Piedmont on Saturday at 9:30 a.m.

The Yellowjackets are led by Head Coach
Joe Reina, who enters his 22nd season at the helm. UR enters the 2023 season coming off a 31-13 (16-3 Liberty League) record in 2022, that included a historic postseason run, hosting a regional game for the first time in school history.

Upon conclusion of the D3 Showcase, the 'Jackets then travel to California for a slew of competitions. Touching down first in Los Angeles on Friday, March 3 and Saturday, March 4, UofR Baseball faces off against Occidental College in a three-game bout, with game times on Friday at 2:00 p.m. and Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Later that week, on Tuesday, March 7 and Wednesday, March 8, the 'Jackets travel to Whittier, CA to take on Whittier College at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, continuing play with a doubleheader on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Rochester Baseball then concludes the trip west, with matchups against University of La Verne in La Verne, CA on Friday, March 10 at 2:00 p.m., and Saturday, March 11 at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Returning home to New York, the Yellowjackets play their home opener at Towers Field against the SUNY Brockport Golden Eagles on Wednesday, March 22 at 3:30 p.m.

Kicking off Liberty League play, UofR's first opponent is the Ithaca College Bombers. The 'Jackets will face off with the Bombers three times between March 25 and 26, with game times of 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. in Ithaca, NY, then returning to Towers Field to wrap up the weekend at home on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

Next up, Rochester baseball has a mid-week matchup on Wednesday, March 29, against a local opponent, St. John Fisher University at 4:00 p.m.

Continuing competition on their home diamond, the 'Jackets then host Hobart College on Saturday, April 1 at 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., for the first two games of another three-game set. They conclude the weekend on Sunday, April 2 in Geneva, NY at 1:00 p.m.

On the road again, UofR heads to Cortland, NY to take on the Red Dragons of SUNY Cortland on Wednesday, April 5 at 3:00 p.m.

Returning to their home turf, Rochester Baseball hosts Clarkson University for a Friday night game at 4:00 p.m. on April 7, followed by a doubleheader on Saturday, April 8 at 12:00 p.m.

The Yellowjackets then have two mid-week matchups on Tuesday, April 11 in Clinton, NY at 3:30 p.m., then on Wednesday, April 12 on Towers Field against Oswego State at 6:00 p.m.

The following weekend, UR Baseball loads the buses for a weekend road trip. The squad first travels to Saratoga Springs, NY on Saturday, April 15 to take on Skidmore College in a doubleheader, with games slated for 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. The 'Jackets then wrap up the weekend in Poughkeepsie, NY on Sunday, April 16 against Vassar College with another doubleheader, beginning at 12:00 p.m.

Continuing their road stretch, the Yellowjackets rematch with the SUNY Brockport Golden Eagles, this time in Brockport, NY on Tuesday, April 18 at 4:00 p.m.

Next up, the 'Jackets take on St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY on Saturday April 22 and Sunday, April 23. The doubleheader on Saturday will begin at 1:00 p.m., with the lone matchup on Sunday to wrap up the weekend at 12:00 p.m.

Later that week, Rochester Baseball returns home to host Alfred State College on Wednesday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m.

Concluding the Yellowjackets' regular season, Rochester will face off with crosstown rival RIT in the final three-game series. The team travels across town to Henrietta, NY on Saturday, April 29 for a doubleheader at 12:00 p.m. The next day, UR hosts RIT on Towers Field at 12:00 p.m.

During the first weekend in May, Rochester will play in the Liberty League crossover series, a best of three-game set against an Eastern division opponent with a spot in the conference tournament on the line.

Should they reach it, the Liberty League Championships are slated for May 11-13 and the NCAA DIII Baseball Tournament is set to open regional play on May 19-21.
