TROY, NY – Four University of Rochester Yellowjackets: Susan Bansbach, Molly Broccolo, Joseph Rende and Scott Sikorski, earned Liberty League Performer of the Week honors, as announced by the conference on Monday.

Bansbach and Sikorski were named the Liberty League Women's and Men's Track Performers of the Week following their weekend at the Duke University Invitational, Broccolo was named the Softball Pitcher of the Week for the second-consecutive week, and Rende earns his second career Baseball Performer of the Week honor.

Bansbach posted a pair of Top-15 times in wet and rainy conditions at the Duke University Invitational on Saturday. The Fayetteville, NY native began the day with a fifth-place finish in the 400m against predominantly DI competition, clocking in at 56.24, currently the fourth-fastest 400m time in NCAA Division III. Then Bansbach ran the anchor leg of UR's 4x400 relay squad, winning the event over multiple other Division I squads with a time of 3:53.88, currently the fifth-fastest time in Division III.

This is Bansbach's fifth Performer of the Week honor of the season, and the 15th of her career.

Broccolo was named the Liberty League Pitcher of the Week for the third time this season after continuing her dominance in the circle, allowing just four hits, walking two and striking out a career-high nine batters in a complete-game shutout against Medaille.

The Mavericks hit went just 2-for-8 against Broccolo with runners on base, and 1-for-8 with two outs, as Broccolo allowed just seven Maverick base runners, and stranded all seven. And after working around a pair of hits in the first inning, the Webster, NY native retired 11-straight over the second, third, fourth and fifth innings, before striking out a pair to finish off the victory.

Rende earns Performer of the Week honors after leading the Yellowjacket baseball team in almost every hitting category across four games against Cortland and Clarkson this past week. Rende batted a team-high .615/.618/1.154 with two walks, two doubles, a triple, a home run, six runs scored and five RBI.

The graduate student kicked off his weekend against the Golden Knights with a triple, home run and three runs scored, finishing a double shy of the cycle. While on Saturday, the Babylon, NY native picked up two doubles in game one, adding three runs scored and four RBI on the day.

Following a pair of Top-15 times at the Duke Invitational, Sikorski earned the fifth Track Performer of the Week honor of his career. The Chicago, IL native won the 800 meters against mostly NCAA Division I competition on Saturday at the Duke University Invitational, running a first-place time of 1:51.24, the seventh-fastest time in NCAA Division III, and an AARTFC qualifying mark.

And earlier in the weekend on Friday, Sikorski added another Top-15 time in Durham, NC, finishing 16th in the 1,500m with a time of 3:52.19, the 13th-fastest time in DIII and another AARTFC qualifying mark.
