Lorelei King got the 'Jackets on the scoreboard just 18 seconds into the opening period off
Lucy Haggerty's assist, as UR took an early 1-0 advantage. However, Jillian Lockwood and the Thoroughbreds quickly tied the score just over two minutes later with Lockwood's first of five goals on the afternoon.
Rochester and Skidmore would go back and forth for much of the first quarter, with

In total, the Thoroughbreds held UR scoreless from the 3:23 mark of the first quarter till the final three minutes to the third, as they stretched their lead to 6-3 with three goals in the final minute of the opening period, before adding three more in the second.
Skidmore would keep things rolling, notching the opening goal of the third to extend their lead to 10-3, before Rochester would make its run.
Down 10-3, the 'Jackets held Skidmore scoreless for nearly a quarter, though it'd take till the 3:16 mark of the third for Rochester to find the back of the net again as well.
Gorny got the run started with another unassisted score, before King and
Gracie Giannettino found the back of the net to cut the deficit to four, 10-6, heading to the fourth.
And while Haggerty would score two more to open the fourth, pulling the 'Jackets within two, 10-8, Skidmore answered with three of their own, going back up by five, 13-8, on Julia Cafasso's goal from Lockwood with 9:36 to play.
Little would tack on one more for Rochester, but it'd prove to be too little, too late, as Skidmore would answer with two more scores to finish off the 15-9 victory.
UR falls to 9-6 (4-4 LL) with the loss, while Skidmore moves to 7-7 (3-5 LL) with the win.
