NEW ORLEANS, LA – Seven members of the University of Rochester women's track & field team earned United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic honors, while the women's program was also named an All-Academic Team, as announced by the USTFCCCA on Thursday.
 
Seniors Susan Bansbach, Madeline O'Connell and Gillian Reeder, juniors Kate Isaac and Sennett Turner and sophomores Megan Bell and Cora Rose were named USTFCCCA All-Academic for their efforts both on the track and in the classroom.
 
Bansbach, Isaac and O'Connell are all repeat honorees, with both Bansbach and O'Connell having been recognized with USTFCCCA All-Academic honors for three consecutive years, while Isaac earns her second nod.
 
During the indoor campaign, O'Connell, Bansbach, Isaac and Bell all ranked in the top 50 in the 400 meters and 4x400 relay, with Bansbach also finishing in the top 50 of the 200 meters. Bell and O'Connell each added another top-50 ranking in the 800 meters and pole vault, respectively, while Reeder ranked in the Top 50 of the weight throw.
 
Outdoors, Bansbach and O'Connell both ranked in the top 50 in the 200 meters, with Bell joining the duo in the 400 meters. Bell added two more top-50 rankings in the 800 meters and 400-meter hurdles, and O'Connell added another in the pole vault, while Turner finished in the top 50 in the 10,000 meters and Rose finished in the top 50 of the discus.
 
Both of UR's 4x100 and 4x400 meter relays also ranked in the top 50, with the Yellowjackets taking home the indoor national title in the 4x400 relay at the 2022-23 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field National Championships in Birmingham, AL this past March.
 
To qualify for USTFCCCA NCAA Division III All-Academic honors, student-athletes must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale through the most recent semester and must either rank in the Top 50 individually in their respective event, or in the Top 35 of a relay.
 
Programs earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors for having a cumulative team GPA of at least 3.1 on a 4.0 scale. The Yellowjacket women had a 3.58 Team GPA, earning themselves USTFCCCA All-Academic honors.
