University of Rochester football first-year Quarterback Creighton Wise was named Liberty League Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday.
 
Wise turned in a solid effort for Rochester during a 34-13 loss at Union on Saturday afternoon. The rookie quarterback tossed for 140 yards and 2 touchdowns through the air and added 19 rushing attempts for 92 yards on the ground.
 
Overall, Wise completed 9-of-20 passes, had a long completion of 29 yards and a long rush of 14 yards during the loss. He mixed in with UR's starting QB during the first half before fully taking the reigns at quarterback during the second half of the game.
