TROY, NY - 42 Yellowjackets from the University of Rochester's two Liberty League-sponsored sports, field hockey and football, were named to the Liberty League Fall All-Academic Team, as announced by the conference on Thursday.
To be recognized as a member of the Liberty League All-Academic team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing and enrolled full-time with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30.
Rochester football accounted for 27 of the 41 honorees, while the Yellowjacket field hockey program garnered 15 team members, the most among all Liberty League field hockey programs.
A total of 755 fall sports student-athletes across the Liberty League were named to the Fall All-Academic Team, including 164 football players and 83 field hockey student-athletes.
