UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, OH – No. 41 University of Rochester men's tennis bounced back from a Saturday defeat to wrap up its weekend with a 9-0 sweep of the John Carroll University Blue Streaks on Sunday afternoon at the Short Family Tennis Center.

The Yellowjackets, now 7-3 on the year, quickly took all three doubles matches to go up 3-0 on the Blue Streaks. At No. 2 doubles, Ethan Samora and Krish Vennam topped JCU's Dylan Westmeyer and Griffin Millspaugh, 8-0, before UR picked up two 8-6 wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles.

Rahul Ravi and Kai Yuminaga scored Rochester's second doubles win at the No. 1 spot, defeating Logan Langovsky and Grant Sarnowski, 8-6, while Surya Rajamani and Alex Kulvivat added another 8-6 win at No. 3 doubles, topping JCU's Anthony Markello and Phillip Gorun to put UR up 3-0 after doubles play.

Then in singles action, Yuminaga made quick work of Sarnowski at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-0, to setup Kavin Shukla's clincher, as the sophomore defeated Markello at the No. 3 spot, 6-4, 6-1, to clinch the win.

Up 5-0, the Yellowjackets kept on rolling, with Vennam securing the win at the one spot, 7-5, 6-1, before Samora topped Gorun at No. 4 singles, 6-0, 6-1.

Ravi and Riccio then finished off the sweep for UR, with Ravi defeating Millspaugh at the five spot, 6-1, 6-0, before Riccio topped Westmeyer, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 6 singles.

With the win, the 41st-ranked Yellowjackets move to 7-3 on the year, while John Carroll falls to 5-7.
