Four individuals who posted outstanding results in their sports over the last week were awarded Liberty League weekly honors from the conference announced on Monday.

In the diamond sports, senior outfielder Josh Leadem was named Liberty League Baseball Performer of the Week, while first-year utility player Riley Laygo was honored as Softball Performer of the Week. Representing the track and field teams, junior Cole Goodman was selected as the Men's Field Performer of the Week in the conference, with first-year women's athlete Nora Chen being honored as Women's Track and Field Rookie of the Week.

Leadem was Rochester's most productive hitter over a 2-2 week on the diamond, also providing some key plays on the mound and defensively for the Yellowjackets. The senior outfielder hit .333 (4-for-12) with 3 runs, 3 home runs and a team-best 5 RBI for the week. All three of Leadem's home runs came in Rochester winning efforts during the Liberty League Crossover Series against Skidmore. He hit a pair of long balls in the series finale on Sunday, one of which came as an inside-the-park homer in UR's ninth inning rally to beat the Thoroughbreds. Leadem also made two appearances on the mound and picked up a save while not allowing a hit in two innings of work. As an outfielder, he also tossed out a pair of runners at home plate over the weekend in the crossover series.

Laygo mashed the ball throughout Rochester's doubleheader sweep of Union on Saturday, finishing the two games with a .625 average (5-for-8) and six RBI. Laygo's hits all went for extra bases as she smacked two doubles and three home runs to finish with 16 total bases and a 2.000 slugging percentage. The first-year also scored five runs and was 11-for-11 in fielding chances, including playing first base for the first time in the 2024 season.

Goodman was named Men's Field Performer of the Meet after winning both the long and triple jump at the Liberty League Outdoor Championships this past weekend at RPI. The junior set a new conference and Rochester record with a 7.58 meter leap in the long jump, a mark which is now number two in Division III this season and a top-25 mark all-time in Division III. Additionally, Goodman led a first through sixth sweep by Rochester in the triple jump, clearing 15.16 meters to win by over a full meter and easily qualify for the AARTFC championships. Goodman's efforts helped the Yellowjackets place second overall in the team standings.

Chen earned her first Liberty League Outdoor Championship title on Saturday, claiming first place in the 400 meter hurdles at the conference meet at RPI. The first-year ran a time of 1:01.86 to win by over four seconds and post the #6 time currently on the NCAA Division III performance list. Chen also finished on UR's 4x400 meter relay team that placed fourth in 4:03.19. Chen's other individual event was the 100 meter dash where she placed 10th in 12.99 seconds. The UR rookie qualified for regionals in both the hurdles and relay.
