BOSTON – Two University of Rochester collegiate four boats finished in back-to-back positions, ranking 16th and 17th at the historic Head of the Charles Regatta along the Charles River on Sunday afternoon.
 
Overall, 40 boats competed in the collegiate fours competition, with both of Rochester's entries finishing in the top half of the field.
 
Rochester's 'A' entry finished in 20:08.863, while the 'B' boat was under two seconds behind, clocking in with a time of 20:10.612.
 
Carleton College earned first place in the event, with a time of 18:42.633, while Liberty League rival William Smith finished with the runner-up entry.
 
Rochester continues its fall racing schedule next Saturday, competing at the Head of the Fish Regatta in Saratoga Springs, NY.
