The University of Rochester saw two fall athletes bring in weekly honors from the Liberty League conference for their performance over the last week of competition.

Sophomore golfer
Alvin Su was named Liberty League men's golf Performer of the Week, while senior goalkeeper
Kara Houston received Liberty League field hockey Defensive Performer of the Week.

Su earns his first weekly honor this season, while Houston grabs her third award of the 2025 campaign. Rochester field hockey keeps its strong season on defense going, as the Yellowjackets have earned the weekly Defensive Performer of the Week award in all five weeks to begin the season.

On the course, Su was Rochester's top performer at the NCAA Division III Preview last week, finishing 35th in a field of 120 golfers at Howey-in-the-Hills, FL. The field at that event featured 23 of 24 teams either in the top-25 or receiving votes in the first regular season GCAA poll, including all of the top-16 teams in Division III. Su finished the event with a 3-day total score of 220 (5-over par), shooting rounds of 73, 77 and 70 at the Mission Inn Resort. Rochester as a team ended in 19th place overall among 24 schools with a total team score of 901.

Houston picked up another shutout and made a total of 18 saves over two contests during a 1-1 week for Rochester field hockey. The senior made six saves in a 2-0 victory over St. John Fisher on Wednesday evening, facing a total of eight shot attempts. The shutout was the 24th of her career, extending her all-time record on the River Campus. On Sunday, UR matched up with #8 Tufts on the road and fell 4-3, with Houston making 12 saves in the loss, while facing 25 total shot attempts against.
