CLEVELAND, OH – Making some of the last regular season appearances of the 2025-26 season, four members of the University of Rochester swimming programs competed at the Spartan Last Chance Invitational at Case Western Reserve University on Friday evening.
The swimmers representing the Yellowjackets were
Rachele Bachmann,
Natalie Reinhart and
Marin Ievers from the women's team and
Max McClung from the men's squad.
Each of the four swimmers swam once on Friday and will have additional events on day two of the meet, taking place on Saturday.
For the men, McClung swam the 100 yard butterfly and finished first in his race, posting a time of 48.66 seconds. The senior was looking to better his own school record of 48.38 seconds from back in December, but ended just shy of that mark, instead, settling for a time that still would rank as the second-fastest in team history.
Bachmann competed solo in the women's 400 yard individual medley, finishing with a time of 4:54.05.
Reinhart ended fourth of five swimmers in the 100 yard butterfly women's event, touching the wall in 1:04.25, while Ievers swam the 200 yard freestyle, posting a time of 2:02.79, placing fourth.
