University of Rochester women's tennis celebrated its three seniors:
Neha Dania,
Sanjana Karnam and
Jasmin Toor, but fell to the 24th-ranked New York University Violets, 7-0, on Saturday morning at the Goergen Athletic Center.

The loss drops Rochester back to .500 and 6-6 on the year, while the Violets move to 6-3 on the 2025-26 campaign.

Karnam was the lone Yellowjacket to take a set against the Violets, opening her match at No. 5 singles with a 6-2 win in set one, before Aditi Narayan won the next two games, 6-4 and 10-6.

The Violets secured the doubles point with three-straight wins in double play, as Visnja Gusavac and Sophia Yang topped Karnam and
Jasmin Toor, 6-0, at No. 1 doubles, while Norah Staunton and Sophia Wright clinched the doubles point with a 6-0 win at No. 3 doubles over
Lilly Caldwell and
Esther Wang.

NYU finished off the doubles sweep at No. 2 singles, where Emma Kast and Victoria Wang defeated
Neha Dania and
Lauren Kallas, 6-3, and then kept things rolling into singles play, as Gusavac swept
Hailey Kornbluth at No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-0.

At No. 3 singles, Yang would make it 3-0 NYU with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Caldwell, while Siona Vallabhaneni clinched the win for the Violets with a 7-5, 6-1 victory over Kallas at No. 4 singles.

No. 13/4 Wang wrapped up the first round of singles action for the Violets with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Toor at No. 2 singles, before NYU earned two more wins at No. 5 and 6 singles to finish the match off.

Narayan topped Karnam in three games at No. 5 singles before Faber finished off the sweep for the Violets with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles over Dania.

The Yellowjackets will look to bounce back when they host another ranked foe in No. 36 RPI on Sunday, March 29, at 10:00 a.m. inside the Goergen Athletic Center.
