Men's Basketball (11-14, 4-10 UAA)
Team Highlights
  • Played tough schedule, finishing with top-15 strength of schedule
  • Set new single-season scoring average record, recording 82.3 points per game
  • Also established new single-season record for fewest turnovers per game
 
Individual Highlights
  • UAA Rookie of the Year – Jordan Owusu '29
  • Second Team All-UAA – Tomiwa Adetosoye '26, Corvin Oprea '26
  • NABC Second Team All-District – Adetosoye
  • D3hoops.com Third Team All-Region III – Oprea
  • USBWA All-Rochester Area – Adetosoye, Oprea, Owusu
  • Oprea scored 40 points on Senior Day, becoming just the sixth player in team history to hit that milestone

Women's Basketball (11-14, 4-10 UAA)
Team Highlights
  • Earned Head Coach Jim Scheible his 600th career win in a thrilling last-minute comeback against Brandeis
  • Faced nine total top-25 opponents and ended the season with the #14 toughest schedule in NCAA Division III

Squash (6-8, 2-0 Liberty League)
Team Highlights
  • The Yellowjackets won their seventh straight Liberty League title with back-to-back wins over Haverford and St. Lawrence in February
  • URochester competed in the Hoehn Cup (B Division) at the CSA Team Championships, ranking in the top-20 for the 19th year in a row
  • The team had nine Athlete or Rookie of the Week awards from the Liberty League
  • Rochester's coaches were named Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year

  • Liberty League Rookie of the Year – Gilberto Aceves Moreno '29
  • First Team All-Liberty League – Aceves Moreno, Dhirren Rajarathinam '27, Thomas Valderrama '28
  • Second Team All-Liberty League – Karim Moataz '28

  • Both Aceves Moreno and Rajarathinam represented the Yellowjackets at the CSA Individual Championship in New York City

Men's Swimming & Diving (3-5)
Team Highlights
  • URochester claimed seventh place at the UAA Championships
  • A total of 13 individuals set new all-time top-10 marks in the program record book, with many earning multiple spots on the list
  • The Yellowjackets were honored as a Scholar All-America Team by the CSCAA for the 20th time overall, ranking with the eighth-best GPA in Division III
 
Individual Highlights
  • New school records were set by Max McClung '26 in the 200 freestyle, 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly, along with Ben Friedberg '26 in the 50 freestyle
  • College Sports Communicators Academic All-District – Nate Attwell '27, Connor Kann '28, Max Wozinski '27
  • UAA All-Academic – Attwell, Brendan Habert '26, Demo Hong '28, Kann, Wozinski
  • Lysle 'Spike' Garnish Scholar-Athlete – McClung
  • Provost Circle Scholar – Attwell

Women's Swimming & Diving (9-0)
Team Highlights
  • Finished undefeated in dual meets for the first time in 50 years, going 9-0
  • Placed seventh at the UAA Championships
  • The Yellowjackets received the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team award for the 22nd time in a row
  • 21 swimmers, divers or relays set new all-time top-10 marks in the URochester record book this season
 
Individual Highlights
  • Kaela Springer '28 earned CSCAA Second Team All-America honors after placing 14th on the 3-meter diving board at the NCAA Division III Championships
  • Springer also captured URochester's first-ever NCAA Regional Diving victory, placing first on the 3-meter board. She was also seventh on the 1-meter board at regionals and teammate Julia Sides '27, was ninth and 12th in the 3-meter and 1-meter events, respectively
  • Four new school records were set this season, including the 1-meter dive by Springer, the 200 breaststroke by Ariana Pasquella '26, the 400 IM by Amelia Hardiman '28 and the 800 freestyle relay which included Hardiman, Adele Hellstrom '27, Morgan Edstrom '26 and Julianne Weaver '29
  • College Sports Communicators Academic All-District – Sophia Dmytruk '27, Edstrom, Hardiman, Sides

Men's Indoor Track & Field
Team Highlights
  • The Yellowjackets placed second at the Liberty League Indoor Championships at RIT
  • URochester secured a top-10 team finish at the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Championships (AARTFC) in New York City
  • As a team, UR earned 16 All-Region honors from the USTFCCCA during the 2025-26 indoor season
  • 20 All-Conference awards were earned by the Yellowjackets from the Liberty League
 
Individual Highlights
  • Emmett Hansen '28 earned Second Team All-America honors following a 16th place finish in the heptathlon at the NCAA Division III Championships. He also was selected as Liberty League Indoor Field Athlete of the Year
  • Barack Abdallah '29 was voted as Liberty League Men's Indoor Rookie of the Year this season
  • Liberty League event champions were Ethan Beer '27 (shot put), Armaan Butler '27 (weight throw), Hansen (heptathlon) and Aadit Jain '26 (long jump)
  • Three school records were set during the season, by Abdallah (60 meters), Beer (shot put) and Elijah VanHoover '27 (60 meter hurdles)
 
Women's Indoor Track & Field
Team Highlights
  • UR earned second place as a team at the Liberty League Championships at RIT
  • In New York City, the Yellowjackets were third among 53 scoring teams at the All-Atlantic Region Indoor Track & Field Championships
  • 22 All-Liberty League awards were earned following the conference championship results
  • Ten individuals combined to earn 19 All-Region honors from the USTFCCCA
 
Individual Highlights
  • Nora Chen '27, Eva Ciuffetelli '27 and Lauren Murphy '29 combined to earn five All-America awards following competition at the NCAA Division III Championships. Chen was First Team in the 400 meters and Second Team in the 60 meter hurdles, Murphy was First Team in the triple jump and Second Team in the long jump and Ciuffetelli earned First Team honors in the 800 meters.
  • Murphy was named Rookie of the Year in the Liberty League following the season, and earned Field Performer of the Meet honors at the Conference Championships
  • At the AARTFC meet, Molly FitzGibbons '26 (M) secured a win in the mile, while Ciuffetelli claimed a victory in the 800 meters
  • Four new school records fell during the season, earned by Chen (60 meter hurdles), Murphy (long jump & triple jump) and Aimee Oszer '27 (shot put)
 
2026 Spring Season Update
 
Baseball (14-21, 7-13 Liberty League)
Team Highlights
  • 7-3 southern trip record in Florida
  • Will return entire team for the 2026-27 season
 
Individual Highlights
  • Third Team All-Liberty League – Benjamin Garber '28
  • Walk-off wins provided by Teddy Monahan '29 against Union and Grady Davis '29 versus league champ RIT
  • Liberty League Players of the Week – James Nelson '29, Carlos Barajas '29 (Rookie)
  • Nathan Carpenter-Holmes '27 was named a Provost Circle Scholar
  • Sophomores Sunil Lindsay '28 and Brendan Ryan '28 received the O'Brien Book Award from the University.
  • Liberty League All-Academic – Ryan Arora '28, Sammy Besztery '27, Luke Blozy '27, Carpenter-Holmes, Randy Davis '28, Lindsay, Derek Llanes '28, Ryan
 
Golf
Team Highlights
  • Finished tied for 18th at NCAA Division III Championship
  • Won Liberty League title for third consecutive year, shooting a program record 273 (15-under par) on final day to comeback for the win
  • Tied for 1st at Fred Kravetz Invitational at Oak Hill C.C. (6-team field), tying the tournament scoring record
  • Finished the season ranked #18 nationally, and #1 in the region
  • URochester was named Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year and Dan Wesley '94 was selected as Region II Coach of the Year
 
Individual Highlights
  • GCAA All-Region II – Arjun Aujla '27, Alvin Su '28, Anderson Palm '29, Galen Fowles '28, Josh Pethel '26
  • Liberty League Player of the Year – Su
  • First Team All-UAA – Su
  • First Team All-Liberty League – Su, Palm
  • Second Team All-Liberty League – Aujla, Fowles
  • Su finished 6th individually at the Jekyll Island Invitational, shooting 69-67-70 (10-under par)
  • Aujla tied the then program 18-hole scoring record with a 66 at Oak Hill West (5-under par) at the Kravetz Invitational, with Su winning the individual title, shooting 70-69 (3-under par overall)
  • Galen Fowles set a new URochester 18-hole scoring record, shooting a 65 (7-under par) at Shenandoah G.C. in the final round of the Liberty League Championship
  • Alvin Su won medalist honors at the Liberty League Championship, shooting rounds of 71-70-67 (8-under par)
  • Liberty League All-Academic – Fowles, Marshall Kim '26, Pethel, Su

Lacrosse (12-6, 7-3 Liberty League)
Team Highlights
  • 12 wins are second-most in program history
  • UR hosted and won a Liberty League playoff game for the first time, defeating St. Lawrence 8-7
  • Defeated 11th-ranked St. John Fisher in the home-opener back in February
  • Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year
  • Five players earned Liberty League weekly honors during the season
 
Individual Highlights
  • IWLCA All-Empire Region First Team – Alyssa Gorny '26
  • IWLCA All-Empire Region Second Team – Jenna Ufberg '27
  • Liberty League Attacker of the Year – Gorny
  • First Team All-Liberty League – Gorny, Ufberg
  • Third Team All-Liberty League – Anna Rogers '27, Maddie Bunting '27, Isla Ablin '28
  • Gorny set the all-time career points, goals and draw controls records, also establishing new single-season marks for points and goals
  • Ufberg set a single-season caused turnovers record
  • Rogers hit the 100 career-goal mark while Ablin reached 300 career saves
  • Gorny received national honors, being named Division III Offensive Player of the Week

Rowing
Team Highlights
  • URochester's varsity 8 boat captured third place at the Liberty League Championships, while the 2nd varsity 8 was runner-up
  • The Yellowjackets varsity 8 won the petite final at the New York State Championships
  • UR earned the third level final at the NIRC Championships in the varsity 8 event.
  • The team was ranked all spring season long, reaching as high as #12 in Division III
 
Individual Highlights
  • First Team All-Liberty League – Jinx Allison '26
  • Second Team All-Liberty League – Ava Prevey-Sullivan '26
  • First-year's Katelyn Wilmarth '29, Erin Seitzer '29, Quinn Seawright '29, and Sophia Fietkiewicz '29 along with coxswain Asha Limaye '29 won the quad sculls at states
  • Liberty League All-Academic – Charlotte Berman '28, Sabrina Butori Valdivia '28, Elizabeth Carleton '26, Natalie Dundas '28, Hayes Keith '27, Kennedy Leininger '26, Stella Lempert '26, Prevey-Sullivan, Rachel Ruminer '28, Lubna Shah '28
  • Leininger was elected Phi Beta Kappa
 
Softball (36-10, 13-1 Liberty League)
Team Highlights
  • Captured Liberty League title with sweep of Ithaca on the final day, hosting the tournament at Southside Field
  • Made 12th appearance in NCAA Division III Tournament, going 1-2 at Angola Regional
  • Had 17-game winning streak during the season
  • Set nine new team records offensively, including batting average, runs, hits and home runs
  • Liberty League and NFCA Region III Coaching Staff of the Year
 
Individual Highlights
  • NFCA Division III Player of the Year, First Team All-American – Riley Laygo '27
  • NFCA All-Region III First Team – Molly Broccolo '26, Laygo, Jensen Sminchak '26
  • NFCA All-Region III Second Team – Rowan Mulholland '26

Men's Tennis (6-13, 0-3 UAA) 
Team Highlights 
  • URochester earned a NCAA Region II team end-of-season ranking of #7 
  • The 'Jackets defeated #33 ranked Rensselaer 5-2 at home on March 29
  • Other regional wins came against Hobart, St. Lawrence, RIT and Nazareth
  • UR competed against eight nationally ranked Division III opponents this spring  
 
Individual Highlights 
  • Second Team All-UAA (1st Singles) – Andy Liu '28
  • Honorable Mention All-UAA (2nd Singles) – Alan Wang '28
  • Liu earned a season-high NCAA Region II singles ranking of #6. He defeated #1 singles opponents from NYU, Hobart, Ithaca and St. Lawrence   
  • College Sports Communicators Academic All-District – Surya Rajamani '26, Ethan Samora '27, Alan Wang '28
  • UAA All-Academic – Rajamani, Rahul Ravi '26, Samora, Kavin Shukla '26, Wang, Joseph Xia '28
  • Phi Beta Kappa and Provost Circle Scholar - Samora
 
Women's Tennis  (8-12, 0-3 UAA)
Team Highlights  
  • URochester earned a NCAA Division III Region II team ranking of #7
  • The Jackets' defeated Northeast region opponents RIT, Ithaca, William Smith, Geneseo and Nazareth
  • On the spring break trip to Hilton Head, SC, the team defeated West Liberty and Hardin-Simmons
  • The team competed against eight nationally-ranked Division III opponents this spring
 
 Individual Highlights  
  • Honorable Mention All-UAA – Sanjana Karnam '26 (1st Doubles), Jasmin Toor '26 (1st Doubles), Katie Yang (1st Singles)
  • Team captain Toor compiled an impressive 11-5 regular season dual match W-L doubles record. She was 8-5 with partner Karnam and 3-0 with Lauren Kallas '27 on the spring break trip.  
  • Hailey Kornbluth '29 defeated Brandeis at #2 singles and Neha Dania '26 won at #6 singles at the UAA Championship. Dania defeated the same Brandeis opponent at #6 singles during the regular season.
  • College Sports Communicators Academic All-District – Lilly Caldwell '28, Toor
  • UAA All-Academic – Maya Bravo '28, Caldwell, Toor
 
Men's Outdoor Track & Field
Team Highlights
  • URochester's men earned a runner-up team finish at the 2026 Liberty League Outdoor Championships
  • The Yellowjackets finished fifth as a team at the All-Atlantic Region Championships in Collegeville, PA
  • Compiled a team GPA of 3.44 during the Spring 2026 semester, earning USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors
  • 12 athletes combined for 16 All-Region honors from the USTFCCCA during the 2026 outdoor season
 
Individual Highlights
  • Emmett Hansen '28 was named Liberty League Co-Field Athlete of the Year after earning Second Team All-America honors in the decathlon at the NCAA Division III Championships, just one week after winning the decathlon at the AARTFC Championships (6,596 points)
  • Barack Abdallah '29 was named Liberty League Rookie of the Year after setting a new 100 meter school record (10.73 seconds) and finishing top-8 in three sprint events at the Liberty League Championships
  • Aadit Jain '26 won the Liberty League high jump title with a clearance of 1.96 meters (6' 5")
  • Ethan Beer '27 won a Liberty League title in the shot put, and also set a new school record with a toss of 15.75 meters (51' 8.25") at the AARTFC Championships
  • Ashton Tokarski '27 won his first career Liberty League title in the decathlon, scoring 6,069 points
  • The team of Abdallah, Jain, Evan Bryant '27 and William Stiska '28 established a new 4x100m relay school record of 41.84 seconds at the AARTFC Championships.

Women's Outdoor Track & Field
Team Highlights
  • URochester's women's team won the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Championship (AARTFC) team title for the first time in program history, scoring 70 points to top the field of 65 teams that scored in the meet
  • The Yellowjackets earned a runner-up team finish at the Liberty League Outdoor Track & Field Championships
  • UR finished 32nd as a team at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships at UW-La Crosse
  • The Yellowjacket women compiled a team GPA of 3.54 during the Spring 2026 semester, earning USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors
  • Sam Albert '01, '02 (M) was named the Niagara Region Women's Coach of the Year, and Jay Petsch was named Niagara Region Women's Assistant Coach of the Year.

Individual Highlights
  • Nora Chen '27 and Lauren Murphy '29 were named Niagara Region Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Year, respectively.
  • Murphy was named Liberty League Women's Field Athlete of the Year and Rookie of the Year, after she swept the long and triple Jump at the Liberty League Championships and earned First Team All-America honors with her third place NCAA finish in the triple jump
  • Chen earned First Team All-America honors in the 400 meter hurdles with a seventh place finish at NCAA's. Chen also captured Liberty League titles in the 400 meter hurdles and 400 meters, and the AARTFC title in the 400 meter hurdles
  • Graduate student Molly FitzGibbons '26 (M) won the Liberty League title in the 3000 meter steeplechase and earned Second Team All-America honors with a ninth place finish at the NCAA Championships
  • Aimee Oszer '27 earned Second Team All-America honors in the discus after finishing 12th at the NCAA Championships. She also won Liberty League titles in the shot put and discus, and was named the Women's Field Performer of the Meet at the Liberty League Outdoor Championships
  • The 4x400 relay team of Chen, Eva Ciuffetelli '27, Raquella Casserino '27, and Lizzie Merrill '28 qualified to the NCAA Championships and finished 14th in the nation. This marked the sixth consecutive year that the Yellowjackets have qualified to the NCAA Championships in the 4x400 relay
  • Five new school records were established during the 2026 outdoor season – Chen (400 meter hurdles), FitzGibbons (3000 meter steeplechase), Murphy (triple jump), Oszer (shot put, discus).
