NFHCA Picks Four ‘Jackets to 2026 Watch List

Four Yellowjackets from the University of Rochester field hockey team: senior Grayson Honig, and juniors Sophia Cuneo, Erin Foley and Hannah Mehta were named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Watchlist, as announced by the NFHCA on Thursday.
 
A two-time All-Liberty League selection, Honig tied for a team-high six goals in 2025 and was an Honorable Mention All-League honoree. The Pittsburgh, PA native tallied 55 shots, 34 on goal, and totaled 13 points in more than 50 minutes per contest. The senior heads into the 2026 campaign with 23 career goals, two shy of entering the top 20 in program history and ranks sixth in program history with 11 game-winning tallies.
 
Cuneo earned her first All-League selection in 2025, Second-Team honors, after leading the 'Jackets in assists. The junior appeared in and started all 20 contests and dished out seven assists, adding two goals for a total of 11 points. Cuneo ranked fourth in the Liberty League in assists and eighth in assists per game, averaging 0.35 assists per contest.
 
After missing the entire 2024 season, Foley earned Liberty League Rookie of the Year and Second-Team All-Liberty League honors in 2025, leading the Yellowjackets with 14 points. In 16 starts and 20 games played, Foley scored six goals, including two game-winners, and added two assists on 42 shots, 27 of which were on goal.
 
Mehta missed the entire 2025 campaign due to injury, but was sensational in her first year with the Yellowjackets in 2024, earning NFHCA First-Team All-Region, First-Team All-Liberty League and Liberty League Rookie of the Year honors. As a first-year, Mehta tallied a team-high 33 points, scoring 14 goals and adding five assists. Statistically, Mehta ranked second in the league in points, shots, shots on goal, goals per game (0.67) and points per game (1.57) and tied for second in goals.
 
The NFHCA named 204 Division III student-athletes to the 2026 Watchlist, powered by Performance Sports Events (PSE).
 
The 2026 NFHCA Watchlist recognizes field hockey student-athletes who have demonstrated a high level of achievement and are considered among those with strong potential for NFHCA All-Region and All-American consideration this season.
 
Student-athletes were nominated by their NFHCA member coaches and must have earned qualifying field hockey recognition within the previous two years. Qualifying honors include NFHCA All-Region, NFHCA All-America, All-Conference, Senior Nexus Championship selection, NCAA All-Tournament Team, or selection to a U.S. National or international team roster.
 
The Yellowjackets will open the 2026 campaign on Tuesday, Sept. 1 when they host Nazareth University at 4:00 p.m. inside Edwin Fauver Stadium.
