CANTON, NY – The University of Rochester tennis team competed in two bracket finals on day two of the St. Lawrence Fall Classic, but ultimately dropped all three of those matches, closing out action of its first collegiate tournament of the 2026-27 season.
 
URochester's Andy Liu made the finals of the 'A' flight singles bracket and posted an 8-5 win over Michael Georgelis in the semifinals to start his day. In the finals Lui , the #4 seed, matched up with 3rd-seeded Ivan Kisic of Ithaca. Kisic earned the title with an 8-6 victory over Liu.
 
In the 'B' singles bracket, Alan Wang was the finalist for the Yellowjackets. Wang topped Hobart's Tejus Ranadive 8-6 in the semifinals before falling to Ithaca's Alex Mazza by an 8-2 score. Mazza eliminated two 'Jackets on Sunday, as he also defeated UR's Josh Chu in the other semifinal matchup by an 8-2 score.
 
During doubles play, the team of Kaiser Zhao and Ethan Samora reached the consolation finals of the 'A' flight doubles bracket. On Sunday, the UR duo topped Marco Lee and Kameron Fernandez in a tight match that went to a tie break. Ultimately the Yellowjackets won 8-7 (7-4).
 
In the consolation final, Ithaca's Luis Crespo and Shivam Udani edged Rochester's Zhao and Samora 8-5.
 
UR's Liam Rieger and A.J. Balsamo also won a match during Sunday's exhibition doubles matches, with that combo defeating Mazza and Manuel Galli of Ithaca 8-7 (4).
