Biography

At UR 2013-14: Finished off remarkable career earning fourth straight All-American honor from the GCAA, earning 1st Team honors as a senior...Is the first Yellowjacket golfer to earn All-American honors four times...Named Liberty League Player of the Year and 1st Team All-Region...Competed in all 10 events for UR, finishing with a 72.9 scoring average in 22 rounds, ranking 3rd in NCAA Division III...Earned five top-5s, and eight top-10s...Medalist three times on the year, including during Liberty League Fall Qualifier where he set a new conference scoring record with a -10 score of 134 for the two round championship...Ended in 6th place individually of 210 golfers at the NCAA Division III Championships, carding rounds of 73-73-72-74 for a four-day score of 292 (+4)...Helped UR reach NCAA's for the first time since 2005 by going 2-0 during the Liberty League Match Play finals in April, including winning 6 & 5 in the championship match...Posted eight rounds of even-par or better, four being in the 60s, with a low round of 66 (-6)...Ends career with scoring average of 73.7, 11 individual event wins, 27 top-5s while defeating 91% of individual opponents...Honored by UR Athletic Department as Louis Alexander Alumni Award winner given to the department's top male athlete.

At UR 2012-13: Had another fantastic season as a junior which was highlighed by two wins including his third straight UAA Championship title...Defeated teammate Dom Schumacher and CMU's Ian Bangor in a playoff after shooting 75-71 for a +2 total, helping the Yellowjackets take home the team title...Was also named PING Division III All-American 3rd teamer for the 3rd straight season...Ended year being named Liberty League Golfer of the Year in addition to being named to the PING All-Northeast Region team...Also, won medalist honors at the NYU Spring Invitational after shooting rounds of 74-72...Ended year with four top-5 finishes and placed in the top-20 in all seven events he completed...Had three of the lowest four scores shot by a Rochester player this season and averaged 74.6 per round...Captured 2013 Monroe Invitational Championship in June, becoming the first Division III player to ever win the prestigious amateur tournament in the events 73 year history.

At UR 2011-12: Kept the momentum rolling from his first season with three straight top-3 finishes to start the fall season his sophomore year...Won the season opening Hamilton Quadrangular after shooting a 140 (73-67)...Placed 3rd at the Tim Brown Invitational and then 2nd at the Guy Kuhn Invitational while shooting back-to-back 145s...Had a fantastic spring during his sophomore season, including two wins...Medaled at the UAA Championships (68-69=137) for the second straight season, setting a new scoring record at the event, breaking a 23 year old record...Also won the individual title at the NYU/Manhattanville Invitational after shooting a 154 (78-76)...Was selected to compete in the NCAA Division III Championships as an individual for the second straight year, finishing in T-56th after shooting 74-78 and barely missing the cut...Finished Division III T-16th in scoring average, scoring 73.78 over his 18 rounds...Was selected a PING 3rd Team All-American for the second straight year by the GCAA.

At UR 2010-11: Burst onto the scene as a freshman, which culminiated in him being named Liberty League Player and Rookie of the Year...Was the top finisher from a US college at the St. Lawrence Invitational, where he finished with a 142...He won the Liberty League Individual title, as he shot a 138 over two days to win the title by 7 strokes over Peter Anderson of Skidmore...He followed that performance with a individual title at the ECAC Championships, where he shot a 150 for 36 holes, and won the title by one stroke...Finished the year by earning the Phil Mickelson Award, given to the nation's top Division III freshman golfer...Was also a Division III PING All-American 3rd Team member as selected by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

HS: Attended Mayfield HS where he played golf and tennis...During his four years on the golf team, was team captain twice and was named most improved, most outstanding and most valuable golfer his last three seasons...Was an All-Conference member all four years (1st Team his junior and senior seasons) and was named conference MVP his senior year...Posted an undefeated match record his junior year while winning three tournaments...Averaged 35.8 in his career 9-hole match record and posted a career best 9-hole score of 31 (-5)...Academically, was an Honor Roll student, named to the National Honor Society and Principal's list.
