Biography

At UR 2014-15: Competed in 11 events as a senior, rowing in the middle power seat for the Yellowjackets...Also, competed twice as member of the Varsity 4 boat...Helped UR earn a bronze medal (3rd) out of 16 teams at the Head of the Genesee Regatta on Oct. 4...1st place of 5 teams on Day 1 of New England trip on Apr. 11, defeating UMass-Lowell, Coast Guard, Colby and Bryant...1V also finished 3rd of 7 at the Liberty League Championships and 5th of 12 at the NYS Championships...V4 boat claimed a 5th place finish of 28 schools at the Head of the Fish...Earned CoSIDA Capital One 2nd Team All-American honors as a member of the At-Large team...Also, was honored by CRCA as a Scholar Athlete and earned Academic All-District selection...Liberty League All-Academic choice while also earned the Lysle "Spike" Garnish Scholar Athlete Award from the UR Athletic Department...Elected Phi Beta Kappa.

At UR 2013-14: The junior became UR's first ever varsity rowing All-American, when she was CRCA 2nd Team All-American...Also, honored by CRCA and Liberty League as All-Academic selection...All-Liberty League choice, following Varsity 8 boats 2nd place finish in first appearance at LL Championships...Member of V8 in all 10 races in 2013-14, earning wins at the Challenge on the Canal on Sep. 28 and against #11 St. Lawrence and St. John Fisher on Mar. 29...Earned runner-up at Dad Vail and Head of Genesee Regattas.

At UR 2012-13: As a sophomore, completed on the V8 boat which captured gold at the Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia...Team won in a time of 6:58.5 and defeated some of the top teams in Division III...Also was a part of the 5th place V8 boat that competed at the NYS Championships...At the Rochester Sprints in late March, earned win on V4 boat over a ranked St. Lawrence team and a Division II Mercyhurst boat.

At UR 2011-12: Was a member of the bronze medal winning Freshman 4+ boat at the Head of the Schuylkill on Oct. 29 in Philadelphia, PA.

HS: Was a member of the women's lacrosse team at Georgetown Day School in Washington, DC...Team captain in 2011 when she also earned MVP honors...Was the Grasshoppers Most Improved player in 2009.

Personal: Father Eric Widra ('83), attended UR and was a member of the men's crew program.
