Biography

At UR 2011-12: Was awarded the Skillman Award which is given annually to a senior men’s squash player who has demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship during his entire college career...Had a record of 10-7 playing against the nation's top players...He ended the year ranked #6 by the CSA in a ranking of 976 collegiate squash players...Earned his fourth straight All-American honor, being named a First Team selection for the third time...In the final team match of his career, Fischer won at #1 singles over Yale's All-American Kenneth Chan, helping the Yellowjackets earn a fifth place ranking in the country...He also reached the round of 16 at the Pool (A) Division Individual Championships and then went on to win the consolation bracket at that event...Named All-Liberty League for his performance throughout the year.

At UR 2010-11: As a junior, was named a 1st Team All-American by the CSA for the second straight year, third A-A selection overall...Reached the quarterfinals of the CSA Pool (A) Division Individual Championships...Posted an 8-8 record overall while playing every match but one at #1 position...Earned wins over Harvard, Yale and Trinity (CT) #1's during the year.

At UR 2009-10: Had a fantastic sophomore campaign that saw him earn 1st Team All-American honors by the College Squash Association...Posted a 13-4 record while playing at #1 and #2...Reached the semifinals of the CSA Pool (A) Division Championships...Helped UR finish the year ranked #4 in the country after winning matches in the Potter Cup Team Tournament against Cornell and Yale #1's.

At UR 2008-09: Started out his career with six straight victories...Finished the season with a 9-3 record at postions 2 and 3...Following the season was named a 2nd Team All-American by the CSA...Seven of nine wins came by 3-0 set score.
