Biography

At UR 2018-19: The senior finished 12-6 playing at the #4 position for the Yellowjackets, helping Rochester finish 4th in the nation...Named 1st Team All-Liberty League...Had eight wins over top-100 opponents on the season...Named CSA Scholar Athlete and was a member of the Liberty League All-Academic Team...Had 3-2 win over Ziad Sakr (#14) of Trinity during UR's 6-3 win over the top-ranked Bantams in January and won 3-1 over Penn's James Flynn (#20) in the CSA Potter Cup 3rd place match in February...Ends career with 49 wins, ranking 14th all-time in Rochester squash history...Named John Vitone Sportsmanship Award winner at UR Athletic Department Annual Awards Banquet in May.

At UR 2017-18: The junior had another respectable season, playing at #2, #3 and #4, finishing with a 12-10 overall record...Named 1st Team All-Liberty League and came within one win of All-American status, falling in the title match of the Molloy West division at the CSA Individual Championships...Had three wins against nationally ranked opponents...Won match clinching point against Drexel in January...Liberty League All-Academic selection.

At UR 2016-17: Made a strong statement to finish off sophomore year, earning CSA 2nd Team All-American honors by virtue of winning a Molloy bracket at the CSA Individual Championships, taking down three nationally ranked foes in the process...Overall, finished 11-5 on the year, playing in the middle of the Yellowjacket lineup...Won eight of his last 10 matches on the year and tallied five 3-0 sweeps during 2016-17.

At UR 2015-16: The freshman made an immediate impact in the Rochester lineup, going 14-5 in his first year for the Yellowjackets...Played at the #5 and #6 positions on the ladder and was selected as an Honorable Mention All-Liberty League member...Was a 3-time Liberty League Rookie of the Week...Qualified for the CSA Individual Championships Molloy Division where he went 2-2, reaching the consolation finals of his bracket...Posted five wins over nationally ranked opponents, including winning over #34 Affeeq Ismail of top-ranked Trinity on Jan. 24...Was perfect 4-0 at the Liberty League Championships and earned win in five games during Rochester's Potter Cup quarterfinal win over Penn...Ranked #53 individually by the CSA following the 2015-16 season.

HS: Attended Grey College in Bloemfontein, South Africa where he played number one for the school's squash team...Earned Most Improved Player award...Was South Africa's #1 ranked junior player, #20 overall men's player and U-23 champion...Team earned 3rd place among area schools in squash standings.
