At UR 2019: As a senior, she appeared in a team-high 113 sets (32 matches)...Finished the season with 197 kills, 149 assists, 244 digs, 48 aces and 34 blocks...Recorded a triple-double with 10 kills, 22 assists, and 13 digs in a win over SUNY Cortland on Sep. 7...The following day, she posted a season-high 30 assists in a victory over SUNY Canton...Tied career-high with 13 kills twice, including on Nov. 9 during UR's win in the UAA 7th place match against Brandeis...Was 4th in the UAA in aces and aces per set (1.32) while also being top-15 in the conference in attacks (742) and assists...Honored as apart of the All-Academic Team by the UAA and as 2019 Garnish Scholar Athlete in the fall.
At UR 2018: Served as the Yellowjackets primary setter as a junior, finishing with 1,129 assists (9.25/set) across all 35 matches (122 sets)...Added 103 kills (0.84/set), a .331 hitting percentage, 54 aces (0.44/set), 247 digs (2.02/set) and 48 blocks...Member of the All-Tournament team at the UR Invitational and NY Regional Challenge...Ended the season ranked 31st in Division III in assists, 80th in aces and 86th in assists per set...Ranked top-5 in the UAA in aces, aces per set, assists and assists per set...Posted 55 assists, a career-best and 3rd most in a single-match in UR history against Catholic on Oct. 5...Added 54 assist performance against SUNY Geneseo on Sept. 12...Had eight double-double (digs, assists) performances on the year, picking up a career-best 16 digs against Elizabethtown on Oct. 6, when she also recorded a career-best five blocks...Season totals rank 7th in UR single-season history in assists per set and 10th in total assists...Selected to UAA's All-Academic team for the second straight season.
At UR 2017: As a sophomore, appeared in 112 sets (32 matches)...Was an all-around player with 189 kills, 41 blocks and 217 digs...Had 46 aces, good enough for second on the team and 426 assists which was also second on the team...Achieved triple-double performances in three matches, ranking 7th in NCAA Division III in that category...The first came at Union on Sep. 23 with 10 kills, 10 assists and 12 digs, another against Brandeis on Oct. 1 where she had 13 kills, 11 assists and 12 digs and that last coming at Nazareth on Oct. 24 with 13 kills, 14 assist and 11 digs...Ranked 5th in the UAA in aces, 7th in aces per set and 12th in assists...Off the court, received UAA All-Academic honors.
At UR 2016: Played in 33 matches (97 sets) during freshman year...Ended with 138 kills, 71 digs, 49 blocks and 40 assists...Hit .214 and averaged 1.42 kills per set and 0.51 blocks per set...Ranked inside the top-20 in the UAA in block assists (48), blocks per set and total blocks...Smacked a season-high 11 kills on two occasions, coming against NYU on Oct. 2 and versus Nazareth on Oct. 19...Named to the UR Invitational All-Tournament team...Ranked 3rd on UR in blocks, 4th in assists and 5th in kills.
HS: Attended Westfield HS where she earned four varsity letters as a right side hitter/setter for the Bulldogs volleyball team...Named co-captain her junior and senior years...Most Improved Award as a freshman...Was All-Conference honoree three times, including earning Player of the Year as a senior...1st Team All-Region and 2nd Team All-State during senior year...Team earned conference championship in 2014.
Personal: Brother, John Ghyzel, attended Rochester and was a member of the Yellowjacket baseball team before getting drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2017 MLB Amateur Draft.
