At UR 2017: Limited to playing just two games as a senior...Made five tackles and forced one fumble in the season opener at Carnegie Mellon...Named a team captain for the 2017 season...Honored by National Football Foundation as member of the Hampshire Honor Society.

At UR 2016: Played in six games, making four starts before losing the rest of his season due to injury...Made 25 tackles (15 solo) on the year and added a fumble recovery...Season high nine tackles in the season opener against Catholic...Named to Liberty League All-Academic team for second straight year.

At UR 2015: Played in eight games during sophomore campaign...Recorded 17 tackles (10 solo), adding one TFL and one fumble recovery...Career high five tackles coming at WPI on Nov. 7...Named to Liberty League All-Academic team.

At UR 2014: Saw the field in all nine games as a freshman...Made six total tackles (1 solo) while also recovering one fumble.

HS: Graduate of Caledonia-Mumford HS where he lettered in football, baseball and wrestling...Three-time wrestling team captain and baseball and football captain as a senior...Earned football team's Hammer Award (hardest hitter) senior year when he tallied 94 tackles and 794 rushing yards...Named County All-Star, Class D All-State and Honorable Mention All-Greater Rochester...Helped Raiders to County Divisional title and runner up in Section V Class DD playoffs...President of the National Honor Society at Cal-Mum.

Personal: Sister, Katelyn Cappotelli '16, also attended UR and was a member of the 2012-13 softball teams.
