At UR 2021: The junior appeared in two races...Finished 61st at the UAA Championship...Ran to 103rd place result at the Rowan Border Battle, with a time of 27:26.9, a season-best.

At UR 2019: First-year runner competed five times for the Yellowjackets, scoring in UR's top-5 runners each time...Compiled an average finish of 38.2 which was second on the team...Defeated over 85% of opposing runners on the year, posting a W/L record of 1117-186...Best race of the year came at the UR Yellowjacket Invitational where he finished 6th of 229 runners and was Rochester's top-finisher with an 8k time of 26:00.0...Season-best time came at the Connecticut College Invitational where he finished in 25:55.0...Top UR runner at the UAA Championship where he finished 30th.

HS: Attended Corning Painted Post HS...Participated in cross country, indoor track and field and outdoor track and field for the Hawks...Named team captain in senior season when he was MVP of cross country and distance MVP of outdoor track team...Helped Hawks to Section V titles in all three sports during his career...Cross country team were state champions in 2016 and 2017, finishing second in 2015 and 2019...Personal best of 16:35 in the 5000 meters, 4:34 in the 1600 meters and 2:03 in the 800 meters...Member of the National Honor Society and Student Council.

Personal: Parents, Raymond and Julie Lawson '92, attended Rochester. Raymond was a part of the Yellowjacket cross country team that won the NCAA Division III title in 1991. Sister, Alicia '25, also attends UR and is a member of the cross country and track and field programs.
