HS: Was a member of the cross country and track and field teams at the Cupeyville School in San Juan, Puerto Rico...Also, participated in a number of other sports, including swimming, basketball, soccer and aquathon...Named cross country captain for four years, also leading track and field team as a senior...2-time cross country MVP, swimming MVP in junior year and also earned Most Improved during career in both cross country and basketball...Placed in the top-20 runners in the PRHSAA Championships for three seasons in cross country...Was top-8 finisher in the 1500 meters in sophomore and junior seasons at the PRHSAA track and field championships...Member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, Safety Club, Club Interact and Sports Club...Earned Bausch & Lomb Honorary Science Award.
