SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Union's men's and women's swimming and diving teams swept the University of Rochester Saturday. The Dutchmen won, 129-110, while the Dutchwomen were victorious, 127-115.

Rochester's women were paced by Michele Gruen. The junior won the 1000 free with a time of 10:54.91, and took first in the 500 free with a time of 5:24.31. Kari Joyce won the 200 free for the Yellowjackets at 2:00:48, and took second in the 200 back at 2:15.85.

Gruen and Daniel Scherry swam 1-2 in the 1000. Kathryn Monti was second and Jill Endres third in the 50 free.

The Yellowjackets won both diving events. Patricia Mchale was first on the one meter board and second on the three meter board. Crystal Hoffman was first on the three meter board.
