INDIANAPOLIS, IN – University of Rochester sophomore diver
Kaela Springer was officially named a College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) All-American for her performance at last week's NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships, as announced by the CSCAA on Tuesday.
CSCAA All-America honors recognize top-16 finishes across individual and relay events. A total of 463 All-America athletes are being recognized for their performances at the 2026 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships.
Springer earned Second-Team All-America honors with her 14th-place result in the 3-meter dive at the DIII Championships inside the IU Natatorium on Saturday, finishing with a score of 423.60 points after scoring 419.90 points in the preliminary dives.
The sophomore sat near the bottom of the standings through her first few dives in the prelims, but rallied late, ascending the leaderboard with a 50-point dive in round six, and three more dives worth 40+ points to finish 14th in the prelims and earn a spot in the consolation final.
Springer becomes the 148th All-American in Rochester women's swimming & diving program history, and the first since Sophie Lever received recognition in 2021. As the 2021 Championships were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Springer is also the first Yellowjacket diver to finish in the top-16 at the NCAA Championships and earn All-America honors since Danielle Neu in 2014.
