The women's swimming and diving team was edged by SUNY Geneseo, 157-141, on Saturday afternoon.
There were quality performances all around for the Yellowjackets against a perennial SUNYAC heavyweight. A year ago, the meet came down to the final relay.
Kari Joyce was a triple winner for Rochetser. She won the 200 freestyle (2:01.23), the 50 freestyle (0:25.57), and the 200 backstroke (2:16.45).
Michele Gruen won two events - the 1000 freestyle (11:13.09) and the 500 freestyle (5:29.99). Danielle Scherry was second in both. She was clocked in 11:16.73 in the 1000, 5:33.54 in the 500. Scherry won the 200 fly (2:22.12).
Patricia McHale won the diving for the third straight week. She had a 229.40 on the onemeter and a 210.15 on the three meter board.
Rochester is 2-1. The Yellowjackets visit St. Lawrence and Union next weekend.
