HENRIETTA, NY - Senior Patricia McHale broke two school diving records and provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division III National Championships in the process.
McHale's double-record-setting performance came in Rochester's 165-75 victory at RIT. It was Rochester's final dual meet of the first semester.
She broke two long-standing marks, both set in 1989. She recorded a 250.55 on the three meter board, bettering the 246.75 set by Kelly Couhlehan. On the one-meter board, she had a 252.50 which broke Emily Aronstam's mark of 252.30.
The one-meter performance also surpassed the NCAA provisional qualifying score of 245 and was just shy of the automatic qualifying performance of 255.
