It may have been Senior Day at the Speegle Wilbraham Aquatic Complex, but the message sent from the rest of the team to the Class of 2006 was clear: You've done a great job leading and inspiring us. Don't worry. You're leaving it in good hands.

With people scoring second or higher in every event for the men and third or higher in each event for the women, Rochester rolled to a sweep of Ithaca College in the last dual meet of the season.

The Yellowjacket men outpointed the Bombers, 138-93. The women took a 128-115 decision. Rochester's men finished the season at 5-5, the women at 9-2.

The tone was set quickly for the women. After the 200 medley relay (Becky Fallon, Kelly Fischer, Keika Campbell, Jill Endres) finished second (2:00.09), Rochester won two of the next three events.

Danielle Scherry, who was one of two double winners on the day (Kari Joyce was the other – and Patricia McHale won both boards), won the 1000 free (10:48.34). Michele Gruen was second (11:00.27). Gruen was second in the 200 free (2:02.40) and Joyce claimed first place in the 50 free (0:25.13).

Joyce later won the 100 free (0:56.12) with Kathryn Monti second (0:56.44). Scherry and Gruen went 1-2 in the 500 free with Scherry winning (5:20.16) and Gruen second (5:22.41).

Monti was third in the 200 IM (2:20.08) with Karen Gromer fourth (2:22.54). Gromer won the 100 fly (1:02.88), followed by Scherry in third and Campbell in fourth.

Fallon and Fischer, who swam the first two legs of the opening relay, scored individual points as well. Fallon was fourth in the 100 backstroke (1:05.74) and Fischer third in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.81).

The 200 free relay of Monti, Endres, Gromer, and Joyce was first in a time of 1:43.13.

On the boards, Rochester took the first three places on the one meter with McHale (227.92) first, Nancy Tremblay second (207.90), and Crystal Hoffman third (205.57). In the three meter diving, McHale (234.20) was first with Tremblay (217.70) second.
