ATLANTA - The women's volleyball team rallied from an 0-2 deficit to defeat Brandeis, 3-2, in the opening match of the University Athletic Association round robin at Emory University.

Rochester defeated the Judges, 22-30, 22-30, 30-28, 30-26, 16-14. It was Rochester's fifth straight win and sixth in the last seven matches. The Yellowjackets are 14-3 overall. Brandeis is 6-5.

Andrea Wagonseller had 17 kills and 13 digs. Kaitlyn Gorczynski had four kills and 19 digs. Sam Carr added 28 assists and 23 digs. Susan Johnson had 21 kills and 30 digs, and Ariel Edelson had four blocks, three digs, and two kills.

Rochester plays twice on Saturday, facing Carnegie Mellon at 9 am, then host Emory at 2 pm. The second UAA Round Robin will be held at the University of Chicago on October 14-15.

Results from the round robins seed the teams for the UAA Championships. Those matches will be hosted by Carnegie Mellon University on November 3-4.
