Spikers 0-3 in First UAA RR

NEW YORK, N.Y. - The women's volleyball team lost its three matches in the first University Athletic Association Round Robin, falling to NYU, Emory, and Brandeis. The Yellowjackets lost in four, 3-1, to New York University on Saturday by scores of 30-24, 26-30, 17-30, 27-30. On Sunday, the Yellowjackets lost, 3-0, to Emory (24-30, 15-30, 12-30), and 3-1 to Brandeis (30-11, 16-30, 20-30, 20-30).

Against NYU, Rachel Bender had 33 assists and 12 digs for the Yellowjackets. Jessica Rasmussen had 19 digs. Dana Hilfinger had nine kills, and Emily Hunter added 10 kills and 11 digs.

On Sunday, Hunter had four kills and Maura Hamilton had nine digs against Emory. In the Brandeis match, Hilfinger had 10 kills, Katie Drinkwater had 17 digs, Hunter had 20 digs, and Bender added 23 assists and 17 digs.

The second round robin will be played at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland in two weeks. Round robin results are used to determine the seedings for the UAA Championships. Rochester will host the UAA finals on November 2-3.

The Yellowjackets are 11-8 overall.
