Women Celebrate Senior Day with Big Win

Val Atwood, Bridget Festa, and Corinne Lampe were all double winners individually for the Yellowjackets as Rochester completed its dual meet season with a 197-84 victory over RIT. Both teams are 4-6.

The Yellowjackets swam the last three events – the 100 fly, the 200 IM, and the 200 free relay on an exhibition basis.

Atwood won the 100 back (1:01.16) and the 200 back (2:14.35). Festa was first in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.07) and the 200 breaststroke (2:36.58). Lampe won the 200 fly (2:21.18) and the 500 free (5:30.64).

Other individual winners were Deb Korzun in the 1000 free (11:21.66), Cailee Caldwell in the 200 free (2:01.470, Emily Scott in the 50 free (:25.58), and Dayna Jacob in the 100 free (:56.07).

The 200 medley relay of Atwood, Jessica Indyk, Lampe, and Jacob won in 1:55.03. The 200 free relay swam on an exhibition absis with a time of 1:43.64. (Atwood, Jacob, Meg Lawless, Caldwell).

Scott was second in the 200 fly (1:04.67). Caldwell was the first one back in the 200 IM (2:20.17).

Megan Braun won the three meter board (192.00) with Constance Iribarne second (183.40). Rachel deLahunta was first on the one meter board (193.85) with Sara Spielman second (191.00), an Braun third (181.80).
