Eight alumni who achieved a variety of high academic honors and outstanding athletic honors were inducted into the University of Rochester's Athletic Hall of Fame on Meliora Weekend. Induction ceremonies were held in the Leibner-Cooper Room in the Robert Goergen Athletic Center.

The Hall of Fame Class of 2019 achieved All-America honors in five sports. The group includes one Academic All-American as elected by the College Sports Information Directors of America and several who earned Academic All-District acclaim.

Rachel Cahan '08
Hometown: Chicago, IL

At UR: Cahan is one of the most decorated goaltenders in Rochester field hockey history. As a four-year starter, she backstopped the Yellowjackets to four consecutive winning seasons, including a trip to the semifinals of the ECAC Championship playoffs… She was the Liberty League Rookie of the Year in her first season and the First Team All-Liberty League goalie in each of the next three years… She was selected to the All-New York State and NFHCA All-North Region teams for three straight years… She was named an NFHCA Second Team All-American after her junior season in 2006.

She was selected to the NFHCA Academic Squad in each of her four seasons. She was named an Academic All-American by CoSIDA after her junior and senior campaigns… Cahan was a Garnish Scholar Athlete as a senior and was chosen as the winner of the Terence Gurnett Award in 2008, presented to the Female Scholar-Athlete of the senior class…. Cahan is Rochester's career leader in saves (504) and minutes played (5,092). She is second in career wins by a goalie (42), and second in career games played by a goalie (75). She is ranked in the top 10 in five other goaltending categories.

Post-Grad: Cahan earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 2008… She worked at General Electric Aviation in Cincinnati and earned her M.S. in Mechanical Engineering through the University of Cincinnati… She eventually moved to Germany for a six-month postgraduate study with Adidas on their innovation team… She returned to Chicago where she is a mechanical design engineer for SRAM, a manufacturer of bicycle components.

William Ebsary '81
Hometown: Norwell, MA

At UR: Ebsary was an outstanding swimmer for the University. Over a two-year period, he earned four All-America honors… He captained the 1981 team which finished 11
th at the NCAA Division III National Championship meet, the highest-ever finish at nationals for the men's program… He had a winning percentage of 93% for individual events in dual meet competition. In 1980, he was the 400 Individual Medley Upper New York State Conference Champion… From 1977-1981, he set eight Rochester school records (five individual, three relays)… He was selected as the winner of the Louis A. Alexander Award for the top senior male athlete in 1981.

Post-Graduate: Ebsary graduated with a BA in Russian Studies and a BA in Political Science in 1981… Professionally, he has enjoyed a long and successful career in the software sales industry with several firms including IBM, Novell, and Citrix… Most recently, he has worked in the worldwide area of software securities, putting his Russian language skills to use.

Jenny Rogers Green '02
Hometown: Carrboro, NC

At UR: Green was a prolific offensive player for the women's lacrosse program who paired with Jessica Lerman to provide a dynamic scoring combination. Rochester reached the New York State Women's Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships three times in four years, getting to the third place game in 1999, playing in the opening round in 2001, and then winning the State championship in 2002… Rochester advanced to the 2002 ECAC Mid-Atlantic Regionals that year. The final record of 14-4 was a single-season record for victories… Green is fourth in career scoring with 186 points, first in assists with 76… She was a four-year starter who earned All-New York State honors three times and All-UCAA plaudits (forerunner of the Liberty League) three times… She was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team, the IWLCA Division III Academic Squad, and a three-time UCAA All-Academic honoree.

Post-Graduate: Following graduation with dual degrees in Computer Science and Brain & Cognitive Science, Green moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina to work for IBM… She earned a master's degree in City and Regional Planning at UNC-Chapel Hill. She is a Transit Service Planner for GoTriangle, the regional public transportation authority.

Jamar Milsap '97:
Hometown: Chester, PA

At UR: Milsap was a four-year starter and an All-American in back-to-back seasons (junior and senior year)… He served as team captain and earned UAA Player of the Year honors in 1997… He earned All-UAA honors in every season and was recognized by the NABC with selection to its All-Northeast Region team three times… He finished his career with 1,681 points and is now fourth in scoring. He is ninth in career rebounding (677) and is ranked 10
th or higher in 19 other categories.

Rochester won the JPMorgan Chase Tournament in the Palestra in Milsap's junior year. The 63-62 victory over St. John Fisher in the championship game was the 300
th career win for head coach Mike Neer…. Later that year, the Yellowjackets were selected for the ECAC Upstate NY Championships. In Milsap's senior year, he helped Rochester to a regular-season mark of 15-10 and a spot in the NCAA Division III playoffs… Milsap was named to the UAA Silver and 30
th Anniversary Teams.

Post-Graduate: Milsap graduated with a B.A. in Health & Society. He took a customer service job and was immediately recognized by his manager for his unique people management skills. This led to a career in the human resources industry which he held for 15 years. He authored a piece titled "The Sandpaper Effect: 10 Ways to Spark the Entrepreneur in Kids"… He still runs three different businesses with a goal of creating an archetype-based virtual reality game designed to teach youngsters how to self-motivate on demand.

John Paul Moran '89:
Hometown: Billerica, MA

At UR: Distance running was a year-round event for Moran at Rochester. He competed with the Yellowjackets in three NCAA Cross Country Championship races where his teams finished 10
th, third, and seventh… He earned All-America honors at the 1989 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field national championships by placing fourth in the 10,000 meter run… Rochester won three straight New York State cross country team titles. The Yellowojackets finished first twice and as the runnerup once in the Northeast Regional NCAA qualifying meet… Moran finished ninth individually in the 1987 UAA Cross Country Championships. He won the 5,000 meter run at the Fredonia State Relays as a senior.

Post-Graduate: Moran graduated with a B.S. Optics in 1989 and accepted a position as a staff scientist and optical engineer at MIT Lincoln Laboratory in Lexington, MA…. Subsequently, he founded Blue Wave Marketing, a digital firm which he has operated as the CEO for 25 years… He is a realtor and real estate investor in Massachusetts…. He authored a political book under his pen name of John Paul and launched a nonprofit organization, Grand Opportunity USA "GOUSA" in 2018.

Katherine O'Brien '05
Hometown: Houston, TX

At UR: O'Brien captured All-America honors twice in the 800 meter run at the outdoor NCAA Division III Championships in 2003 and 2004… She competed in three NCAA outdoor title meets and once indoors… She excelled in the 800, winning the ECAC indoor crown in the event twice, the New York State title outdoors twice, and the New York State indoor title once… At the time of her graduation, she held Rochester records in the indoor 500 meters, the 4x200 meter relay, the 4x400 meter relay,, and the outdoor 800 meter run (which still stands)… She was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for track & field as a senior. She was selected as a Garnish Scholar-Athlete to begin her senior year. She received the Merle Spurrier Award from the Department of Athletics & Recreation as the senior woman who has contributed the most to the women's intercollegiate sports program.

Post-Graduate: After graduating cum laude with a B.A. Brian & Cognitive Science, O'Brien proceeded to obtain a Ph.D. in Clinical Neuropsychology from the University of Houston. Dr. O'Brien is currently the Clinical Director and primary Neuropsychologist for the Disorders of Consciousness Program at TIRR Memorial Herman Rehabilitation Hospital in Houston. Dr. O'Brien has published a chapter on Disorders of Consciousness and participates in national work groups to advance care for this underserved population.

Jeff Piscitelli '01
Hometown: Orchard Park, NY

At UR: Piscitelli was a four-year starter at quarterback who combined his excellent running skills with a well-developed passing ability… That ability has him populating the University's record book in more than a dozen categories. He is second in career passing attempts and total offense, third in completions, and passing yards per game… His signature moment may have come near the end of his sophomore season when he engineered a 26-21 victory over Union College at Fauver Stadium. He ran for one touchdown and passed for three others, finishing with 277 yards in total offense… He also punted nine times for a 33.6-yard average, despite not punting in any of the previous games that season. The win knocked Union out of consideration for an NCAA playoff bid.

Post-Graduate: He received a BA Economics. After graduation, he remained on the UR coaching staff to develop the wide receivers…He began a career in fund-raising in 2008 at Rochester… Now, he leads a team of development professionals at the University of Buffalo where he serves as Director of Advancement for the UB School of Management.

Diane Jean Ulatowski Tibbetts '89
Hometown: Uncasville, CT

At UR: As an outstanding volleyball player, Tibbetts holds the distinction of guiding Rochester to its only UAA women's volleyball team championship (in the first year of the league).. She is the only UR women's volleyball player to earn the UAA Player of the Year honor… Rochester played in two NCAA Division III Championship Tournaments during her undergrad days. She was a four-year starter… She was selected twice to the All-Northeast Region team and First Team All-UAA… The UAA named her to its Silver and 30
th Anniversary teams… She is listed in Rochester's record book in the top 10 of five categories, many of them for her play on the front line.

Post-Graduate: Tibbetts graduated with a B.S. Microbiology… She earned an M.S. in Microbiology from the University of Connecticut. She worked in Animal Healthy Discovery at Pfizer, Inc., then transitioned to volunteer work which includes international mission trips, disaster relief service, church planting, and puppy raising service dogs for Fidelco.
