Three tournaments, three UAA Round Robins and eight total home matches highlight the 2021 University of Rochester volleyball schedule this season.
 
Overall, Rochester has 24 regular season matches planned, with three additional matches to be played at the season-ending UAA Championships.
 
The Yellowjackets kick things off with five straight matches at home in the Louis Alexander Palestra. Opening night is September 1st against Elmira at 6 pm.
 
The UR Invitational takes place Friday and Saturday that weekend, with six total teams playing in ten matches across September 3-4. UR takes on Buffalo State and Smith on Friday evening before facing off with Oneonta and Medaille the following day.
 
Rochester's first road test comes on September 10th against SUNY Brockport, as a part of the Brockport Invitational. The following day, UR plays matches against Ithaca and Thiel to round out the three-game weekend.
 
Conference play opens up on September 18-19 with Round Robin #1 being played in Chicago. The Yellowjackets take on Washington-St. Louis and host Chicago on Saturday before playing against NYU on day two.
 
After returning to Rochester, RIT and SUNY Geneseo await on the schedule in single matches, taking place on September 22nd and September 28th, respectively. The RIT game is just up the street in Henrietta, while Geneseo invades the Palestra.
 
Round Robin #2 in the UAA takes place on October 3rd with Brandeis hosting. Rochester avoids the host school this time around and plays matches against Case Western Reserve and Carnegie Mellon at 10 am and 12 pm, respectively.
 
Up next, UR takes to the floor at the Susquehanna River Hawk Classic, taking on a trio of opponents over the weekend of October 8-9. Friday night's opponent is York College of Pennsylvania while Stevens and host Susquehanna are next on the schedule the following afternoon.
 
The last two conference matches of the regular season take place on October 17th, with Rochester playing host Emory and Brandeis at Round Robin #3. Defending conference champion Emory finished as the NCAA runner-up in the 2019 season.
 
In the next week, Rochester plays its final two home games of the season, hosting Houghton on October 21st and Nazareth on October 26th. On the day before Halloween, St. John Fisher hosts UR in a tri-match with Buffalo State, with the Yellowjackets playing games at 11 am and 1 pm.
 
The first weekend in November (5-6) will serve as dates for the UAA Championship tournament, with all eight schools being seeded based on their round robin records from earlier in the season. Each team will play three matches, as positions one through eight in the conference will be awarded based on those results.
