Box Score MADISON, NJ – Two University of Rochester men's tennis players were defeated in their respective third round matches on day two of the ITA Northeast Regional Championships on Saturday morning.
The regional tournament is being hosted by Drew University.

Kai Yuminaga and sophomore
Krish Vennam both went 2-0 in singles on the opening day of play on Friday, only to see their singles tournament runs come to an end on Saturday.
Yuminaga had a tough matchup in the third round against Aiden Drover-Mattinen of RPI, the brackets top seed. Droven-Mattinen, the #9 ranked player in Division III entering the 2022-23 season, earned a straight set win, defeating Yuminaga 6-3, 6-2.
Vennam was seeded in the 9-16 range and took on 5-8 seed Matt Michibata of TCNJ in his third round matchup. The two battled over the first two sets, Vennam taking set one 6-2, only to see Michibata answer back with a 6-1 set two victory. In the third set tiebreaker, Michibata advanced to the quarterfinals with a 10-5 win.
The ITA tournament concludes the fall portion of the schedule for Rochester tennis, with the dual match season starting up in February.
