GENESEO, N.Y. – The women's outdoor track & field team posted numerous outstanding performances at the SUNY Geneseo Quad Meet on Sunday afternoon. Rochester broke one school record, had three performances ranked in the Top 10 in Division III, had seven qualifiers for the Atlantic Regional Championships in running events, and two in field events.

Rochester finished third in the meet with 130 points. Host Geneseo won the meet with 208 points. The College at Brockport was second with 150 points.

The school record was set in the 4x100 meter relay.
Kate Isaac,
Susan Bansbach,
Ashley Heffernan, and
Madeline O'Connell were clocked in :47.66. It's a qualifier, it is the eighth fastest time run in Division III this season, and it breaks the record of :48.19 set by this same foursome a couple of weeks ago. It also set a facility record for Geneseo's track.

Bansbach and
Kristin Hardy placed in the top four in the 400 meters. Bansbach ran a :55.98 to win the event. It is the sixth fastest time in Division III currently and it's an Atlantic Qualifier. Hardy finished fourth in :57.60.

Heffernan earned an Atlantic qualifier in the 100 hurdles (:15.37) is
Iva Savic seventh (:17.33). Heffernan also competed in the pole vault, clearing 3.35 m., good for sixth place points. Isaac was sixth in the 100 (:12.93).
Pinkk was 2nd in the 800.

Lisa Pink finished second in the 800 (2:18.33) with an Atlantic qualifier. Rochester had three Atlantic qualifiers in the 200: O'Connell won, (:25.20), Bansbach was second (:25.27), and Hardy was third (:25.94).

In the heptathlon,
Eileen Bequette finished second overall with 4,715 points. She won two events outright on Sunday – taking the javelin throw and the 800 meters. She was third in the long jump. Her point total is currently the eighth highest in Division III. It is the second highest in school history.

Among the other running results, Katherine Benninger was second (12:24.40) in the 3,000 meter steeplechase and Saab Lin was third (12:25.51). Rochester's 4x400 meter relay team was sixth overall, timed in 4:18.42 (
Madeleine Vogel,
Megan Bell,
Alexis Aboagye,
Kendra Watson).

In the field events, O'Connell earned an Atlantic qualifier in the pole vault with a jump of 3.80 m., good for second place. Heffernan was sixth (3.35 m.).
Alyssa Hoogs earned an Atlantic qualifier in the triple jump, clearing 11.12 m.
Lauren Berry was seventh in the long jump (5.17 m.).
Gillian Reeder threw the hammer 42.62 m. which placed her eighth.
