Brunacini finished just one spot behind Hughes in fifth, clocking in at 9:49.68.

In the other distance events, UR tallied four PRs in the 1500m and another in the 800m.

Four 'Jackets scored Top-20 finishes in the 1500m, with all four recording new, personal bests. Griffin Weiner led the pack of Yellowjackets in 11th with a time of 4:02.24, with Nick Gaitanis in 12th at 4:02.32.

Vishal Yalamanchili finished 16th, coming in at 4:05.38, while Sean Hendricks clocked in at 4:06.59, good for 19th.

In the 800m, Weiner again paced the 'Jackets with a ninth-place finish (1:59.57), while Colin Hascup set a new personal best of 2:00.06, good for 12th.

Over in the two field events of the day, the discus and javelin, Rochester saw four finish in the Top-15 of the discus invite, and six in the javelin.

James O'Neill scored a team-high 10th-place finish in the discus with a throw of 38.90m, while Zajans Crapo and Dylan Rykert scored new personal bests with their throws of 38.67m (11th) and 37.57m (15th)

Jordan Johnson rounded out the four UR throwers in the Top 15 with a 14th-place, 38.02m throw, and then led the Rochester grouping in the javelin with a throw of 44.04m, good for 7th.
