University of Rochester junior Cole Goodman received a pair of All-America awards for his performance at this past week's NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, as announced by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Tuesday.
 
Athletes of USTFCCCA member institutions who finished in the top 8 of their respective individual events and relays at the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships this past week in Myrtle Beach, SC, took home First-Team All-America honors, while those who placed ninth through 16th individually and ninth and tenth as part of a relay earned Second-Team All-America accolades.
 
Goodman scored a pair of first-team honors in the horizontal jumps, the long and triple jump, the sixth and seventh accolades of the junior's career. Goodman won the national championship in the triple jump, leaping into first place with his first attempt, a 15.44m leap, and holding down the top spot throughout the rest of the competition before breaking the school record with his final jump of 15.76m, 0.3m better than his previous best, and the sixth-best in Division III history.
 
While in the long jump, Goodman finished seventh with a 7.33m leap on his first of six attempts, earning his first podium finish of the championships.
 
Goodman's two top-eight finishes scored 12 team points for the Yellowjackets, as Rochester tied for 16th overall at the NCAA III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, their best team finish since 1974.
