Both the University of Rochester men's and women's swimming and diving teams earned College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team awards for their efforts in the classroom during the spring semester, as announced by the CSCAA on Monday.

722 teams from 417 institutions representing a total of 17,162 student-athletes met the criteria to earn Spring Scholar All-America Team honors, including 158 women's and 138 men's programs in NCAA Division III.

To qualify for this prestigious recognition, teams had to earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 during the Spring 2024 semester. Of the selected teams, an impressive 563, including the Yellowjacket women, achieved a GPA of 3.30 or above.

The Yellowjacket women, with 30 student-athletes of the squad, combined for a 3.43 GPA this spring, while the men's team, with 22 student-athletes, earned a 3.23 team GPA.

The Rochester women also earned CSCAA Scholar All-America team recognition for the 20th-straight semester, while the men garnered their 18th honor dating back to the mid-2000s when the CSCAA first started the program.

Additionally, the University Athletic Association, UR's athletic conference, was also one of just two NCAA Division III conferences and 11 overall that saw 100 percent of both men's and women's programs in the conference earn All-America Team honors for the spring semester.
