PENFIELD, NY – The University of Rochester men's golf team combined to shoot one-under par, good for 10th, through the first two rounds of the Flower City Preview, hosted by St. John Fisher University, on Sunday at Midvale County Club.
The 18-team field played two rounds on Sunday, teeing off at 8:15 a.m. before wrapping back around for round two at approximately 1:00 p.m. The event featured eight of the Top-10 teams in the most recent Bushnell/Golfweek Division III Coaches Poll, including the entire top five, plus several others ranked in the Top 25 or receiving votes.
Through the first two rounds, the Yellowjackets sit in 10th at one-under par. No. 3 Emory leads the pack, having shot 31-under par through the first two rounds of the Preview, while No. 5 Illinois Wesleyan (-23) and No. 1 Methodist (-17) round out the top-three squads heading into Monday's final round.

Gary Pan and first-year
Alvin Su were the Yellowjackets' top performers, each shooting one under on the day, 26th on the individual leaderboard. Su led the 'Jackets with a two-under opening round while Pan shot an even par. In the second round, Su came in at one-over, with Pan shooting one-under.
Su notched the 'Jackets lone eagle of the day, a three-shot on the par-five 17 in his second round, while Pan led Rochester with five birdies in the first round, and
Luke Evans tallied a team-high five in the second.
Evans shot UR's third-lowest score, placing 42nd through the first two rounds. The first-year shot one-under in the opening round, before hitting two-over par in the second to finish at one-over.
Three spots behind Evans,
Eddie Ren sits in 45th at two-over, having also shot one-under in the opening round, before coming in three-over par in the second.
And after a tough opening round,
Shibo Wang rebounds to shoot just one-over par in his second round to finish the day at nine-over in 76th.
Individually, Emory's Brian Hanson sits atop the leaderboard at 12-under, with Methodist's Aiden Spampinato and Oglethorpe's Jackson Hiller tied for second place at 10-under.
Rochester will hit the course for the final round of the Flower City Preview at Cobblestone Creek County Club in Victor, NY on Monday, Sept. 23 at 7:30 p.m.
