The University of Rochester women's cross country team closed out its 2025 season on Saturday afternoon, competing at the NCAA Division III Niagara Regional, running to a seventh place result at Genesee Valley Park.
Rochester was running on its home course, with the regional hosted by Rochester Institute of Technology. Overall, the Yellowjackets scored 197 team points, ranking seventh among the 23 teams that scored in the meet.
Two runners ended up as All-Region finishers, with
Alyssa Horng and
Riley Joseph placing 33rd and 35th, respectively. Horng completed the 6-kilometer course in 23:01.0, while Joseph crossed the finish just a few seconds behind in 23:04.5.

Ella Blau for the final All-Region honor, as Blau finished in 36th place, just 1.1 seconds behind in 23:05.6.
First-year
Sam Mermelstein ranked as the fourth Yellowjacket finisher, crossing the line in 23:32.7, placing 48th overall in the field. Teammate
Ariane Yedidia finished 50th in the race, posting a time of 23:34.4. 162 total runners competed in the race.
The URochester displacers in the event were
Adriana Ochoa in 74th (24:20.4) and
Maria Khalifeh in 80th (24:33.2).
SUNY Geneseo's Ann Brennan earned the overall individual title, completing the course in 21:38.2, while Rochester's UAA rival, NYU earned the team title with 52 total points.
