Led by Kaela Springer's new program record and Ariana Pasquella's pool record, the University of Rochester women's swimming & diving team won its seventh-straight meet, defeating the Grove City College Wolverines, 224-76, on Saturday inside the Speegle-Wilbraham Center.

It was a dominant performance by the Yellowjackets, as URochester won all 16 events, had the top-two finishers in 11-of-16 competitions and tallied 31 top-three results, plus the two records and five NCAA regional qualifying scores in the diving events.

Springer broke the one-meter program record set by Sophie Lever in January 2020 by nearly six points, posting a 459.90-point score, one of two NCAA qualifying scores for the sophomore on the day. Springer took home the top spot in the one-meter dive, and also finished first in the three-meter, adding another NCAA qualifying score (472.60).

Julia Sides took second in both diving events, notching a pair of NCAA qualifying scores to become Rochester's second diver to qualify for the NCAA Division III Diving Regionals this spring. Sides posted scores of 447.35 in the one-meter and 451.80 in the three-meter, while Lilia MacKenzie also notched a qualifying score with her fourth-place finish (381.10) in the one-meter dive.

Pasquella broke her own pool record in the 200-yard breaststroke, clocking in with a first-place time of 2:23.18, shaving nearly half a second off her previous record.

Pasquella and Springer were two of seven double-winners for Rochester on the day, with three of UR's seven double-winners posting three-plus wins, including Julianne Weaver, who won four events against Grove City.

Pasquella was one of URochester's two triple-winners, topping the field in the 100-yard breaststroke (1st, 1:05.88), in addition to the 200 breaststroke, as well as the 200-yard medley relay. Pasquella, along with Sophia Dmytruk, Ally Mackey and Weaver, opened the Yellowjackets' day with a first-place finish in the 200-medley relay with a time of 1:49.63, while Phoebe Hamblett, Sarah Leevan, Addison Powers and Adele Hellstrom combined for a second-place time of 1:52.36.

In addition to a win in the 200-medley relay, Weaver also helped URochester to a victory in the 200-yard freestyle relay, swimming on the 'Jackets' 'A' relay with Morgan Edstrom, Leevan and Hellstrom to finish first with a time of 1:40.06, while Amelia Hardiman, Hannah Gentile, Paige Lovelace and Gina Rubiano, UR's 'B' relay, came in second with a time of 1:44.88.

Weaver then added individual wins in the 200-yard freestyle (1st, 1:58.88) and the 100-yard freestyle (1st, 54.03) to give herself four wins on the day. Ava Kaufman joined Weaver on the podium in the 200 freestyle, clocking in at 2:02.24, good for second, while Hellstrom took second in the 100 freestyle with a time of 55.73 seconds.

Rochester's other triple-winner was Mackey, who placed first in the 200-yard butterfly and 200 IM, in addition to the 200-medley relay. Mackey touched the wall first in 2:10.32 in the 200 butterfly, and then led a trio of Yellowjackets in the 200 IM, clocking in with a time of 2:13.80. Kaufman finished second behind Mackey with a time of 2:16.64, while Olivia Dewar came in third (2:17.49).

Katelyn Packer was also a double-winner for Rochester, taking home the top spot in two individual events, the 1,650-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly. Packer swam a personal-best time of 18:38.13 to finish first in the 1,650 freestyle, and then later in the dual, clocked in with a first-place time of 1:04.53 in the 100 butterfly. Courtney Dietrich joined Packer in the top three of the 1,650 freestyle, touching the wall in 19:09.04, good for second place.

Hellstrom notched her first win in the 50-yard freestyle before securing double-winner status in the 200-freestyle relay. Hellstrom placed first with a time of 24.90 seconds, with Leevan right behind her in second with a time of 25.06 seconds.

The 'Jackets next compete at Ithaca College's Bomber Invitational, Dec. 4-6 in Ithaca, NY.
