A total of four individuals from the University of Rochester, two from the squash team and two from the track and field program, were awarded weekly honors from the Liberty League, as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.

Dhirren Rajarathinam was named the conference Men's Squash Performer of the Week, while first-year teammate
Gilberto Aceves Moreno received Rookie of the Week honors. In track and field, the Yellowjackets swept the men's and women's Field Performer of the Week awards, with sophomore
Austin Lansey bringing in the men's honor and first-year
Lauren Murphy receiving the women's award.

Rajarathinam was 2-0 on the weekend, playing number two, as Rochester posted a win over #24 Chatham and a loss against #15 Navy during the two team matches. On Friday against Chatham, the junior won in four games over Agustin Carranza of Chatham, rallying after dropping the first game for an 9-11, 11-7, 11-4 and 11-6 win. On Sunday against the Midshipmen, Rajarathinam picked up one of UR's two wins, winning over Christian Graziano in three games, 11-4, 11-8 and 11-7, moving his individual record to 5-1 on the season.

Aceves Moreno was 1-1 on the weekend, playing the top spot on the ladder for the Yellowjackets. The rookie posted a five-game win on Friday against Chatham's Sebastian Vaca Sanchez (11-2, 7-11, 7-11, 11-4, 11-2), needing to rally and win the final two games of the match to secure the point. Rochester upended #24 Chatham 7-2 that evening. Then on Sunday, Aceves Moreno battled #15 Navy's number one, Wenqing Tang to four games, ultimately falling 8-11, 4-11, 11-8 and 8-11. Navy remained unbeaten on the season with the 7-2 win overall against #19 Rochester.

Lansey had two top-5 finishes as the Yellowjackets opened the season at the Nazareth Alumni Opener on Friday night. The sophomore claimed victory in the triple jump, posting a leap of 14.00 meters, ranking #17 currently on the NCAA Division III indoor performance list and earning a berth in the AARTFC meet later this season. He had the top-3 jumps in the competition, earning his best mark in the sixth and final round. Lansey also ended fifth in the long jump with a mark of 6.38 meters.

Murphy broke the University of Rochester school record in the triple jump during her collegiate debut on Friday at the Nazareth Alumni Opener. The first-year posted a mark of 11.97 meters to win the event, set a school record, qualify for regionals and rank #3 at this point in the season on the Division III performance list. Additionally, Murphy finished third in the long jump with an AARTFC mark of 5.44 meters and ran on the Yellowjacket 4x400 meter relay that won in 3:59.39, also a regional qualifier. Murphy's long jump mark is #16 on the Division III list and the relay team sits at #3 nationally as well, at this point in the season.
